My old under cabinet microwave quit and I needed a replacement and the GE I purchase from Sears was a great value and exactly what I wanted.  I have had approximately 2 months and the only problem I have had is the plastic has cracked on the area above the control panel.  It was easy to install as...

I had no choice selecting the appliances brand name as GE was chosen by the builder. Now I wish I had a choice to pick a higher quality appliances. I have had issues also with my dishwasher. GE needs to regain leadership in quality, just like the old days...Hope those days are not gone forever...

Great purchase

Bought this four years ago and still love it ... even after my Mother-in-Law tried to cook tin foil.  It's hearty and cooks quickly.

This is a great microwave mounted above my stove.  It holds large items and heats evenly.  My favorite feature is the "Add 30 Seconds" button! It also has a great light underneath.

This microwave is great! I defrost food, re-heat, make popcorn, make rice and cook entire meals using this appliance.  I would definitely buy a GE microwave again.

The user interface is simple, intuitive and easy to use.  The pre-programmed functions are helpful and give good results.  I especially love the 1-5 minute one-touch buttons that cook at full power for 1-5 minutes.  That covers 75% of the cooking I want to do. It's easy to set the clock and I use the kitchen timer for other cooking tasks.

Since the microwave is installed over the stove, kids tend to pull the door down as they...

Our GE microwave model JVM1730DM1WW is built in above our GE range..  It has an exhaust fan and a stove top light.  This microwave is one of the easiest to use.  The controls are not confusing and it has a very useful display.  We like the fact that the stove top light has a bright and dim setting.  when the light is on it will actually keep food warm in the microwave while the rest of the meal is being prepared.

The GE spacemaker over the oven microwave was to replace an existing microwave. It could not have been easier to install. I had to drill two hole to mount below the  cabinet and mount the new rear braket.

I just replaced my previous microwave with GE's JVM1540 Spacemaker.  My previous microwave had many more options (all of which tore up and were unfuctionable within no time at all).  I love the fact that its incabinet spacemaker design takes up little room and leaves my counter space open for cooking and serving guest (buffet style).  Its installation was so easy that my son and I installed it ourselves.  So far I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Absoultely love it!

Has never caused us any problems - works fantastic! The one time that it "broke". it was relatively inexpensive to fix.

I am disappointed with this microwave.  I guess I get what I paid for.  I don't have a vent to the outside of my home for exhaust fan.  Instead, I have the exhaust recirculate within my kitchen.  In order to combat the smell, I bought one of the charcoal filters that GE recommends.  However, it is totally useless because it does not totally cover up the exhaust port.  It only sides in completely to cover up one half of the exhaust port whie the other half receives no treatment.  So every time we use the fan, the grease doesn't get trapped because the force of the fan is so great, that the...
