Bought what I thought was a top of the line GE Profile Dishwasher with the automatic soap dispenser. After 6 months I am very dissappointed. The 14 year old Profile that this thing replaced did a better job getting dishes clean.

I have had a GE Profile Dishwasher for about a 2 years. It is, by far, the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. The standout problem is that it doesn't clean dishes. Even if washed and rinsed ahead of time (and that is very necessary) they come out dirtier than when placed inside. The built-in design is quite quiet, but this is actually a problem. There are no dials or lights outside to tell a user if the machine is working or finished, so it has to be opened to check. I LOVE my GE Profile Dishwasher. Not only are my dishes spotless, but it is almost completely silent. I have to stand next to it to hear it running and I LOVE that! Plus it looks very sleek and it can hold a lot of dishes.
It runs quiet and cleans very good. And it is very easy to clean. Its great to have.
As recent GE Appliance Sweepstakes winners, we were fortunate to be able to upgrade our dishwasher to a Stainless Steel GE Profile unit. The entire Profile line is quiet, efficient and user friendly, so we knew we could expect good value for our money. However, the detergent autodispenser was a very pleasant surprise for us; the first filling left a bit of overflow, but after breaking it in with the initial load, the add-on is working perfectly and is so nice to have...you can fill it once with almost a whole bottle, and it lasts for a huge number of uses. read full review »I can trust that this dishwasher will never flood or break. The dishes all come out clean, no matter how dirty they are when I put them in. It is easy to install, and fits into a compact space.
This GE dishwasher cleans even the hardest to clean dishes and is so quiet you don't know its running.
Use my GE Profile Dishwasher once so far and the dishes were great on the normal setting. Need to try out the rest. One thing, though, I wish there was a special rack for large cutting knives.
It does not clean as well as others I have had. When I replace it I will look for something else. Too bad we can not try it first! Mine is noisy.
We purchased this dishwasher when we remodeled our kitchen and it is great. No problem with it. It is very quiet and gets the dishes clean--do not have to prewash unless item is heavily soiled. Love the stainless steel interior.
