We purchased this dishwasher against the salesperson's recommendation because it matched our other appliances, and we figured it had to be decent based on the price. We should have listened, because looks are the only thing it has going for it.

Super quiet machine that looks very nice in newly remodeled kitchen. I am a little disappointed in the cleaning ability so far. Some flatware and plates have not come fully clean on the first few washes. I am questioning whether the self dispense is providing enough detergent. For the price of this machine, I expect clean dishes. I will keep you posted after some adjustments are made.
Smudges are not noticeable and it runs quietly compared to our old dishwasher. Also like the features of adjusting cup size on top rack. Great because we drink both tall glasses as well as big mugs (coffee & tea drinkers). Love the way it looks with the stainless steel handle and it hardly shows any smudges as it is satin finish. Only thing that needs improvement is the door already has scratches on inside due to it rubbing against/hitting top rack when closing door. There is a metal GE Profile name tag on top rack. This product is so quiet!!! The only way you know it is on, is when
the water drains! Sometimes, even that is too quiet to hear!
We can actually hold a conversation at the kitchen table which
is directly next to the dishwasher!
The end-of-cycle beep is a nice feature. Since I barely hear it
most of the time, it's nice to be notified when the cycle is finished.
I love the adjustable rack height & fold down tines too!
The dishes come out spotless! I love the top-rack wash only option!
Sometimes the plastic items come out damp, but I tend not to
use the 'heated' dry with plastic items.

Very happy a year after buying this model. We agonized over the Boche vs. Meile, but were swayed by a friend that suggested this top of the line GE model instead. Consumer reports rated it very good, but not excellent, saying that a handful of models cleaned a bit better. After using it for a year though, I would rate it superior for cleaning. Even glass casserole dishes with oven baked pasta sauce usually come out sparkling. You don't need to pre-rinse dishes, just scrape off excessive (large) amounts of lose food. The one thing that it won't clean is green leafy stuff like spinach or cilantro....
