I've had this for about a year now. It microwaves poorly taking about 3 minutes to boil a cup of water. Convection cooking also comes up poor. I regret buying this....

We picked this microwave from the sales floor catalog for the convection feature and to coordinate with our new GE Profile range. This was a mistake. I've had this microwave less than a month and I am ready to pack it up and ship it back! The vent fan is SO loud on the high and medium settings, I can't conduct a conversation in the kitchen. (Kind of like standing under a 767 at takeoff.) The low fan setting just hums - no air movement can be detected. The dial control is awkward to use. Our installer told us the interior must be wiped dry or allowed to dry before closing the door after each use because the interior will RUST. There is only one light over the range; our last Kenmore had two lights.

Lesson learned: If it isn't installed on the sales floor and you can't touch the controls and hear the fan, don't buy it!

Very disappointed after waiting to update our kitchen. We bought top of the line appliances in Stainless Steel. All of them are GE. The GE profile microwave was a great addition until now. It stopped working completely. Now we will have to get another one. It will be covered under warrenty but it is a major concern!!!!

This product does everything I would expect it to do. I like the combination of microwave oven and convection oven, which I have used several times for side dishes. I don't think I would roast meat in it because the interior is hard to clean. Also I don't like the dial control....

I have been using this microhood daily for 3 months. I really like it. The convection oven works well for muffins to meatloafs. The controls are easy to learn and use. It took me a while to learn to adjust recipes for the fast bake feature but I also like it. We vented the hood to the outside and it works well. I like the overall styling and especially the racks for convection baking. This appliance has replaced my old countertop microwave and toaster oven and I don't miss them. We did the installation ourselves without any problem, there were good instructions included....

Model purchased - White-on-white GE Profile 1.7 cu. ft. Microhood Combination with Convection Oven This product has been installed in our kitchen for about two weeks. We are very pleased with it so far. It is easy to use, the low fan speed is so quiet you can barely hear it, the light is nice and bright, and it cooks well. We have twice used the convection oven and although we were disappointed with the pre-heat time - almost the same as the regular oven - we were very happy with the bake results. This is a wonderful option for a second oven....

Unit was bought to replace original equipment but a different brand in an rv. Installation was easy although it required a few simple modifications on the wall plate. This unit comes with an outstanding cookbook and the recipes that we have tried have all turned out excellent. The unit is very quiet both on microwave, convection and combo. The 3 speed fan operated on high is probably double the strength of the other brand that the GE replaced and again very quiet. So far, Well worth the price!!...

We purchased this microwave along with a GE convection gas stove to replace our 13 year old appliances that were giving out. The installation was easy! Actually, the most difficult part was removing the old micro. All told, it took about 2-2.5 hours to remove the old one and install this one. You do need a helper to hang it on the bracket as it's pretty heavy and bulky. I would not recommend paying for installation unless: 1. You are not handy with things at all. 2. You are not replacing an existing micro. If this is going where a range hood is located or an older house with funky cabinetry, then you will have more work to do and may want someone else to deal with it. I will join the praisers of this unit. It works well and bakes beautifully. The capacity is surprising as well. We were able to put in a full size cookie sheet and a rectangular caserole dish. They both fit fine on the two racks provided. The controls are fairly intuitive to start using w/o reading the instruction manual.......

I really like the fast bake feature! This saves the house from heating up during the summer. It's also great to bake a few cookies for a quick snack....

I love this appliance. It is fairly easy to use, looks fantastic in my kitchen, and pops microwave popcorn to perfection! What more could one ask for? I'm just kidding there, but really, I do love this appliance. It' s the best microwave I've ever had, or ever hope to have. I gave the 4 stars for durability because I've only had this microwave for 11 months and the interior light did go out for some reason. I hope to find out why when the serviceman comes in a couple days. I also hope it won't happen again because you can't change the lightbulb yourself, which is inconvenient. I must say that I've never had a lightbulb go out in a microwave before either, but if that's all that ever happens with this one, I'll be happy. It's a great appliance....

We recently moved and chose this as we previously had a combination convection/electric oven, but now had only a gas stove. It was the best purchase ever. I have all the convenience of a microwave, but still can do convection baking and roasting, which is just awesome. It is easy to clean and looks beautiful too....

I rate this 4 stars overall. It has been working great for us. Although, we are still getting use to varying our cooking times when we use the convection VS microwave feature. It also has a combination fast bake, which is really cool when you are in a rush to get dinner on the table. It alternates between the microwave and convection oven feature. Just make sure you keep your cheetsheet handy so you know what you can use in the microwave VS Convection VS fast bake. You don't want to use the wrong pan!...
