My new GE 7.0 cu.ft. Dryer is wonderful, dries in 2/3's the time!  That is savings in time, electricity and money!  Continue the fine work.  I am a Sears Associate for over 20 years and usually go with Kenmore, but this time the GE Dryer selection topped the Kenmore selection and that is hard to...

I am so disappointed with GE, we bought a GE dishwasher that broke after 3 years, now 2 weeks later the dryer has stopped working. Took the back off the machine and there I see "MADE IN MEXICO" this is new, they have just in recent years started shipping alot of their manufacturing out of the US. I think...

GE Profile Dryer

I HATE this dryer. I have to put my clothes through 2 cycles to get them dry.

I have had this machine for almost two years and one day it just stopped drying my clothes.  Turns out it was jammed with lint, because so much lint gets past this (what I would define as) defective lint filter.  The machine works great when it works, but I seriously recommend considering a different machine because of the lint filter issue.

Also, I had one of those plastic dryer balls that dented up the inside of the machine from normal use.  The metal inside must be a very thin sheet.

The dryer is great as far as settings go, and I love the sweater rack option. However, the lint trap has to be one of the worst I've seen. After each load the lint trap needs to be cleaned (of course) but the door has to be wiped down and the area under the lint trap has to be cleaned out (and sometimes vacuumed!) I like my dryer, but I hate its lint trap and the amount of effort put into cleaning it after each load.

ge profile 7.0 dryer

I bought this dryer in June 2010.  I was already disappointed w/ the quality of my washer (maytag centennial) I bought in 5/10 and it didn't help that this was the 3rd dryer I chose because none of the one's I really wanted would fit through my basement doorway.  It is actually a great dryer.  I dry 2 of the loads from the washer at 1 time with only an extra 10-15 minutes.  I would definitely recommend this dryer and the price is great.  My electric bill went down $15 bucks a month just from using the dryer half the time and we wash 6-8 loads a week.

I've had this dryer for 2 months and am more than satisfied with it's ease of use and efficiency.

We picked it up at the store, installed it ourselves, using our existing electrical cord and flexible venting and saved all that expense. The lint filter that some have complained about is a non-issue. I have dried everything we use and have never had an 'overload' of lint from anything; and clothes dry quickly and are not 'baked' when removed.  After 22 yrs. of use, GE Profile appliances have never let us down!

My husband bought this dryer for my birthday and it is awesome! I have six kids and do alot of laundry. The capacity is great, I went from doing thirty loads a week to twenty. I can do larger loads and save time. It also drys my clothes in half the time as my old one....

Great Dryer!

I got this dryer in January and have only good things to say about it. The auto dry sensor which shuts off when the clothes are dry is very efficient and I believe will save lots of energy and money as opposed to using just a timed setting. The lint filter (which was criticized in some reviews) is no problem at all. It is small, but it takes 2 seconds to clean it out after each load - - - no problem! I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, highly efficient dryer.

Love Features, Fluffy Clothes & Savings

I LOVE this dryer. I got the matching washer, too. I've always had top of the line appliances but the front load appliances are not for me. After a lot of research, it was tough getting a set that does everything my previous set did. Was I surprised by how much this set surpasses my expectations! I use a cooler temperature to dry and still save time (10-18 min) on my loads using the sensor setting. It's wonderful because that reduces not only shrinkage but my utility bills. The best part, though, is how my clothes look at the end of the cycle. I don't know if it's the stainless steel (my old one... read full review »

Cuts drying time!

I read all the reviews on dryers in various places and went with this one because I read it cut drying time, had the stainless steel drum, and lots of options. I've used it for 4 mos and I've been very happy with it. It really has cut the drying time at least by 15 min on most loads and often more. I love the extra options-especially the tumble cycle after the load is done to prevent wrinkles. Saves me from ironing. I also think it's fairly quiet, I often don't know it's still running. I agree the lint tray is not the best, sometimes lint is on the bottom of the door and around the tray. But overall... read full review »

Useless lint filter

I love almost everything about this drier, but my one complaint ruins the rest of it for me. The lint filter is completely useless. First, after every load there are long snakes of lint stuck to the clothing in front and to the door. These fall on the floor when you open the door. Second, the face of the dryer and inner face of the door have to be wiped down from lint every time. Third, the lint filter itself lets a TON of lint past it, requiring you to stick your hand down the channel to pull out lint globs and to check the vent for lint constantly.

5 stars

We have had several GE dryers in the past that were the less expensive models that seemed a little cheaply made and plasticy. We decided to upgrade to a Profile this time due to the overall heavier construction, added features, and stainless drum. Although we have not had it very long, it is clearly a far superior machine than past ones in appearance, construction, function, and quiteness.

love this dryer

we've had this dryer about 2 months and love it. i love all the cycle options and have used most of them. i haven't yet used the shoe rack or the "dryel" home dry cleaning cycle. we have dogs so we use the "sanitary" cycle on this dryer in conjunction with the "sanitary" cycle on our Maytag front loader. i have nothing bad to say about this dryer and am so glad we bought it.
