I love this machine. My grandma just bought one and i think its perfect in the sense that its really quiet and very handy. I think that where i wash my clothes should be really important, so i give it thumbs up for this machine!!

I'm sure the dryer is a good one if taken care of and serviced reguarly.  Clean the lint out of the cabinet.  Make sure the vent is clear.  Measure the temp.'s, etc..etc..etc..Call Service another words.  Clothes lines and hanging stands allow for slow drying methods with out shrinking.  Who has that much time, not me.........Check the warrenty, some Manufactures offer 3 years some only 1 year.  Certain policies cover varied details and that's too often where the customer gets lost - in the details.  Everybody wants something simple.  So pick a coverage plan that is easy to follow, comprehend,...

GE Profile 880 Dryer- Love!

Del. 2/17/09 LOVE! Holy cow is this thing BIG! I can easily dry what would have been two loads of drying with room to spare to everything tumbles and doesn't wrinkle. And, dried a comforter easily. Use MORE DRY or EXTRA DRY settings. DRY is still slightly damp. Use WRINKLE FREE and EXTENDED TUMBLE and clothes always look great. Built-in rack small. Too Small to lay flat an adult sweater. Ok for hats and shoes if in a hurry. Thanks GE for designing buttons that don't always re-set every time I accidentally rub against them. Mom had a Maytag and it drove me nuts! Love having a drum light. ... read full review »

Finally Happy

I had bought the washer and dryer both, I must say I love this set. I had washed and dried my king size comforter and in the new dryer it had taken only 45 mins, in my old dryer that was not that old it took 1 1/2 hours. I love the delay start feature that the washer and dryer both have. I use that a lot and it works great, I can set the washer or dryer to start doing their job up to 24 hours. This is a great feature when you have a busy life like I do. The washer even tells the dryer what type of cycle to put on your your clothes by a cable that hooks them together, no more waisting electricity... read full review »

I love this dryer!

I love this dryer.  The options are excellent and the price is right.  I am able to dry my king sized comfortor with no problem at all.  It takes about 45 minutes.  Now if only they could invent a dryer that could fold the clothes for you too!!!  The good news is there is a dewrinkle cycle so if you end up leaving clothes in the dryer for a couple days like I always do I just pick that cycle and then fold them after.  Eventually I plan to get the matching washer as well.

best dryer

We got this dryer since our old one was going out to where we had to run it two to three times just to dry the towels. I got my first electric bill since we have had this dryer and it saved me $20!! Considering I only have to run the dryer once and clothes actually dry pretty fast compared to our old dryer when it was brand new. I also love the fact that it is super quiet!! I also love that it keeps beeping until you get the clothes out that way you do not forget or hubby cannot say he did not hear it...lol.

Quiet Operation

This dryer performed excellent with the communiction cable connected to the washer. Just push a start button and wait a very short time for the load to finish. Clothes came out perfect and not over dried. It has a retractable screen rack for drying shoes that is built into the tumbler so it is always availabe whenever you need it. Not an accessory that needs to be stored. The machine has a specific setting so the tumbler doesn't rotate for drying shoes. Compared to my previous washer and dryer set, this set looks like giants on the pedestals, but looks very stylish to show off.

NoToolsRequired

I purchased both the GE Washer & Dryer over two months ago and I'm very happy with the performance of each unit. I appreciate the previous reviews because I did weigh these before I made my purchase. Luckily for me the delivery techs knew about the "quirks" of balancing the washer and even told me about wiping down the washer and leaving the door open after use in order to prevent a mildew smell. I'm happy to report that to date I haven't had trouble from either unit. Washing is a joy and pleasure to do now and you talk about the capacity to be able to wash any and everything - total awesome. I... read full review »
