Cons: Difficult to Use, Energy

GE Profile High-Efficiency 4.1 cu. ft. I.E.C. Top-Load Colossal Capacity Washing Machine (WPRE6150K) —

I've had this washer for one month and it smells horrible. Our clothes come out smelling musty. With a family of seven the washer is run everyday so it is not from lack of use. I am returning it this weekend. It also takes AT LEAST 50 minutes to run a load (handwash load is even 42 minutes!) and this is "High Effenciency?!?" In addition, the washer is on our upper level and is very noisy in the room below it (unfortunately our kitchen). I bought the companion dryer and it works "okay" -- but dries the clothes in 35 minutes. If I don't get the clothes out ASAP they wrinkle. It does not have the "Wrinkle Guard" my previous Maytag (and cheaper!) had so I have to run up the stairs to get the clothes out as soon as the dryer is done. So I have to tend the the wash TWICE as often -- get the clothes out of the dryer before they wrinkle, then run up the stairs again when the washer is done to quickly move the clothes to the dryer before they begin to smell. I have to use Downey AND a Bounce sheet to get the stench covered up. Not very "Energy Efficient" for the environment -- or me!
