The Galaxy box fan works very well. Combined with our window unit air conditioner, it does a good job helping to keep our room cool.
When I got to my vacation home, my fan was thrown out by somebody. I wanted a new one, so I went to Wal-Mart to see what they had. This was way back in 2003. I bought this for $11.00. Now it's 5 years old, and I think it's time for a new one. I'll have to get one. It still runs great.
I've had this fan for over 2years and this fan has been GREAT!
It is a little noisey but for me this is NOT a CON, since more than half the reason it is in my room is to be used to as a white noise machine to go to sleep. I don't have any mildew or rust problems with mine, but mine is in a spot where liquid isn't around it and it is kept in a clean well dusted room at all times.
We had another Galaxy fan that we had for YEARS and it was still going strong, I just felt it was time for a new one because It was so old. It never gave us any problems that is why I chose a cheaper Galaxy again!
