what a disappointment! thought I had something and had nothing. first of all in fairness I have to say that it navigates ok. the thing I don't like is the fact that when you plug it in your car to use the unit CANNOT be used. it goes into "mass storage mode" with a animation of the unit hooked to a computer....

The Garmin GPS, Nuvi 200 is great! It was inexpensive compared to most GPS systems and gives great directions. I love that you can set your address as 'Home' and you can also set via points on the way to a destination. It's super easy to look up nearby places such as restaurants or shopping centers. Overall this was a great investment. My only complaint is that the battery does not last long when not plugged in.
Garmin is by far the leader in GPS systems. I've used, Tom-Tom and Magellan and they do not hold a candle to Garmin. If you miss a turn, Garmin easily gets you back on track to your destination, where I've experienced the other GPS systems get you lost trying to get you back on destination.
As a semi-pro musician, I drive to lots of gigs in urban and suburban sprawl - volume is loud over the radio; visuals are super accurate - you pass the road on the screen as you drive by it. Recalculating for missed turns is almost instant. It has lots of Points of Interest with phone numbers, too. I can't stop messing with it! Get it when it's on sale or try to get a discount - worth the couple hundred you have to invest.
I bought this unit about a week ago and it is super. Very user friendly, easy to navigate menu. I have nothing bad to say about it. I can't stop playing with it. Shows info like gas, hotels, shopping, recreation, auto repair, police, hospitals, etc. for where you are near or near your destination, so cool. Also list the phone numbers if available for the business. It Is So Cool !!!!!!
I had purchase another GPS, and within days I had to return it to the store. A couple of weeks later my sister-in-law purchase the Nuvi 200 for me. As soon as I saw it, I got excited, no hassle to set up, just plug in and go, it's easy to use and it is so affordable. I highly recommend this product.
I purchased my nuvi200 two days ago at the recommendation of three friends. It has been used three times in town. The factory settings work fine for city use. But to get the shortest route, I disabled all Avoidance settings in the navigation function. With this GPS the 3 big trips we are taking this summer will be a walk in the park. Just buy it!

I got this Nuvi a few days before Christmas. This is by far the most fabulous GPS Device out there for the price! This has turn by turn directions and does everything you could possibly imagine.
The Nuvi 200 is very easy to use and i can tell it will come in handy for road trips. The accuracy is amazing. For the price compared to others, this will get the job done without all the extra bells and wistles you probably will never use. The fact that it is portable and talks to you and has Points of interest is all I needed.
this product is outstanding.could not wait to open box.As soon as I took out of box and turned on it located a sat and off I went.Great price,easy to use.If you have a chance to buy this one.DO IT!!!!
Very easy to use I turned it on at Sears and entered my home address, I was amazed at the detail and ease on using this devise. I recommend this if you are looking for a good price and easy to use GPS
I just got my Garmin nuvi 200 out of necesity. I drive a limousine on weekends out of central Florida. In the past I had depended on impared customers to tell me where they are going; to realize that we end up lost. For the first time, I ask customer to tell me their physical address or where they want to go, I imput it on this little magic box and boom we are there in no time while the customers sleep away their alcohol impared state and return them home safe on time thanks to the accuracy and reliability of the garmin nuvi 200.

Easy set-up - I am not interested in anything complicated to set-up, and this is perfect. I was able to plug into my lighter and get directions immediately. Entering addresses takes a little practice to get used to the abbreviations, but very simple. Customer service is also great - we had a question the manual did not answer. When we called the customer service number, our call was answered within 1 minute and the problem was resolved immediately. Screen is excellent, and sound quality is excelent. Would highly recommend.
