This is my second GPS. It is a great little GPS. Large enough to see yet small and light enough to throw in your purse when not in use. I really like that since I wouldn't recommend leaving a GPS in a parked car. It's not complicated to use/program. I would recommend this one to everyone. It is very acurate when estimating time of arrival too. Displays speed limit and how fast your are going. That is a big plus. Also, it goes off automatically when you turn off your car. If you are looking for a GPS, this one gets 5 stars.

Garmin nuvi 205

I'm verry pleased with my new Garmin GPS. My wife and I take alot of weekend trips to to shop and see shows and the Garmin nuvi took us where we wanted to go. I am especially pleased with how fast it calculates your next turn.

There was a bit of a mix up on my shipping time, but I was fully refunded for the misunderstanding. I received the GPS in excellent condition and it worked as soon as I charged it up. I took it out of town and it gave me the appropriate directions. I have had it for months now, and it has never let me down!!! This product is a great buy.

This is our second Garmin GPS. It works pretty darn good. Map updates could be better but we live in a rural town. I have a C330 street pilot now and this Nuvi is leaps and bounds better. I would buy another.

Nice basic unit

As a first time GPS owner, I wasn't sure what to expect, nor did I really know what features I wanted in a GPS unit. This Nuvi 205 has given me a positive first impression of the technology. It does what it does very well. Only one time in the first month did I do a double take on an incorrect left-right instruction that it may have given incorrectly. The routing has not been flawless. However, I attribute that to the mapping information provided that must be out of date. The hardware and touchscreen are of good quality. The menu navigation is simple and user friendly. Excellent Pathfinder under $100

I bought this last month and so far have used it extensively. Its as good in the neighborhood as when you go out for a long drive. We went to San Antonio from Plano , around 300 miles, and we never diverted from our path. The only con about this product would be that sometimes it will say "recalculating" even while you are going on the pre defined path showed by it. Overall its a real Must Have Product whenever u r behind the wheels.

... with a good implementation. The GPS functions are easy to work, mostly it's very intuitive. It does route oddly on occasion - on a recent long interstate trip, it tried to take us there completely on surface streets, and back completely on interstates. We actually did the trip at a bit of a mix; some of the local surface street routing would have been much longer that the interstate path I took on the way there - not that everybody else doesn't do that too, sometimes. well worth the price

I had a c330 street pilot that had a triangular shape, not suitable for carrying in pocket,and had old maps. this nuvi 205 is just the right size and the price couldn't be beat ,it was new, not reconditioned. The nuvi 205 has only the continuous 48 states and not the extra areas hi, pr, Canada, that the street pilot has, but I will not be going out of the country so it doesn't matter also it did not have the usb cord but my old one worked and got a free map upgrade.it picks up satellites much faster and works flawlessly. it almost makes sense to get a new one every two years rather than pay for... review »

Garmin is the Industry Leader

For a Reason! This is a great unit. The menus are intuitive, the directions flawless. Best GPS I have ever owned. To the user who mentioned that it routed her only on city streets, I think she probably had one of the options set that way. You can tell it to avoid highways and route you on city streets or you can tell it to route you on highways and freeways.

Excellent Product & Service !!!

I had another GPS system that recently died right before leaving for vacation. I ordered the Garmin and it arrived the day i left.... It worked wonderfully and i am very pleased.. There was a little delay and misunderstanding in shipping, but they refunded me the shipping cost and apologized for the problem... Excellent Customer Service as Always !!!

I got this Garmin during the Memorial Day sale and what a fantastic buy!!! I do home visits in my work and don't always know the area I'm going into. This GPS is wonderful, it's dead on and it was such a great buy!! It is a basic model but it has everything I need and is a real life saver!!!!!

This is my second GPS. Initially I was having MIO which was ok but GArmin is much better in terms of providing better directions and ease of use. The display is very nice and easy to understand. The navigation directions are precise. It's good Value for money
