“great gps”

Very good product. Very good idea. This is my first and it was quite an experience. Before GPS I would go camping and to find the nearest store to buy groceries I would go street by street. Now I press "shopping" in the GPS and find dozens to choose from including name and distance. After that it takes me there turn by turn. In particular this GPS was very good, but if you can afford the ones that give you the street name, go for it instead.

“Never Get Lost Again!”

For the first 5 years of driving a car, I've never used a map at all! I was very skeptic with the new GPS systems, as I've seen on comercials with insurance companies. Now, after using it for 2 years now, I feel safe with this. No more map books or worries when I'm traveling long distances now. With Garmin, I can simply put where I want to go and it will take me there, but also display locations like supermarkets and restaurants I might be interested in. Now could a map book tell me that?

In short, this Garmin is probably the best thing that happened to driving for me. It's reliable, cheap, lightweight,...

“Garmin Nuvi 205 3.5 inch”

It's tiny, and it's very useful. It locates fast and calculates correctly. It save me a lot on find gas stations. The price is quite reasonable.

“Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS Navigation System”

The Nuvi 205 is a wonderful choice for a beginner's gps system.  Mine has been very reliable, and I have never had a problem with it.  As with any GPS, you must update your maps because of ever changing road conditions.

“Garmin Nuvi is one of the best GPS I have ever used.”

I've tried many different GPS's in the past. Particularly tom-tom and Magellan products. I was happy with my tom-tom products but once I tried this garmin product i knew it was the best GPS i have used. It doesn't take long to load, and it is fast to find signal. I will never get lost again with this GPS.

“works good,great price”

 This pocket-sized GPS includes Bluetooth wireless technology, just the right size, easy to put in the bag. Like most GPS, sometimes the instructions are good, other times they are completely out of whack. The text-to-speech is very good and clear. I think this gps is a good value.

“Excellent Product & Service !!!”

I had another GPS system that recently died right before leaving for vacation. I ordered the Garmin and it arrived the day i left.... It worked wonderfully and i am very pleased.. There was a little delay and misunderstanding in shipping, but they refunded me the shipping cost and apologized for the problem... Excellent Customer Service as Always !!!

“Garmin is the Industry Leader”

For a Reason! This is a great unit. The menus are intuitive, the directions flawless. Best GPS I have ever owned. To the user who mentioned that it routed her only on city streets, I think she probably had one of the options set that way. You can tell it to avoid highways and route you on city streets or you can tell it to route you on highways and freeways.

“Nice basic unit”

As a first time GPS owner, I wasn't sure what to expect, nor did I really know what features I wanted in a GPS unit. This Nuvi 205 has given me a positive first impression of the technology. It does what it does very well. Only one time in the first month did I do a double take on an incorrect left-right instruction that it may have given incorrectly. The routing has not been flawless. However, I attribute that to the mapping information provided that must be out of date. The hardware and touchscreen are of good quality. The menu navigation is simple and user friendly. “Love It !!!”

There was a bit of a mix up on my shipping time, but I was fully refunded for the misunderstanding. I received the GPS in excellent condition and it worked as soon as I charged it up. I took it out of town and it gave me the appropriate directions. I have had it for months now, and it has never let me down!!! This product is a great buy.

“Can't live without this!!!”

Ok- I get lost going to my mailbox.  It's bad.  There are so many places I haven't gone simple for the fear of getting lost.  Those days are over...

My husband got me this for my birthday a couple of weeks ago.  I didn't want one thinking it would be too difficult to use.  Not only do I have no sense of direction- but I'm no good with electronics as well.  But this thing is a snap.  It's so easy to use!!  Had I know this, I would have gotten one long ago.  It talks to me, lets me know when I can expect to get where I am going, even warns of traffic.  And if you are like me and still make...

“well worth the price”

I had a c330 street pilot that had a triangular shape, not suitable for carrying in pocket,and had old maps. this nuvi 205 is just the right size and the price couldn't be beat ,it was new, not reconditioned. The nuvi 205 has only the continuous 48 states and not the extra areas hi, pr, Canada, that the street pilot has, but I will not be going out of the country so it doesn't matter also it did not have the usb cord but my old one worked and got a free map upgrade.it picks up satellites much faster and works flawlessly. it almost makes sense to get a new one every two years rather than pay for... read full review »

“Excellent Pathfinder under $100”

I bought this last month and so far have used it extensively. Its as good in the neighborhood as when you go out for a long drive. We went to San Antonio from Plano , around 300 miles, and we never diverted from our path. The only con about this product would be that sometimes it will say "recalculating" even while you are going on the pre defined path showed by it. Overall its a real Must Have Product whenever u r behind the wheels.

“Highly Recommend”

This is my second GPS. It is a great little GPS. Large enough to see yet small and light enough to throw in your purse when not in use. I really like that since I wouldn't recommend leaving a GPS in a parked car. It's not complicated to use/program. I would recommend this one to everyone. It is very acurate when estimating time of arrival too. Displays speed limit and how fast your are going. That is a big plus. Also, it goes off automatically when you turn off your car. If you are looking for a GPS, this one gets 5 stars.
