I did not expect that the stone would be as large as it was: Happy surprise! The deep red color is beautiful and it goes with all of my garnet and gold jewelry. Looks great if you have a garnet and gold bracelet. The "gold" holds the garnet in a regal-like state (the gold portion of the ring reminds me of what Ceasar would have worn as a crown). I like this ring.
