GasWatch Propane Level Indicator

This product was easy to install and seems to work well. It is important to read and follow the installation instructions or the gauge not indicate the correct level. It does add several inches to the space required for the valve and hose connection so plan ahead to ensure your grill's hose is long enough... read full review »

Useless

Attached this device to a completely full gas tank, and it promptly read "empty". Trusting this brand new gauge, I replaced the (heavy) tank - my mistake, as the new tank also registered empty. Then tried to start our grill with this gauge on, and it wouldn't start. Took this gauge off of the tank, directly... read full review »

I've owned every propane scale or gauge ever marketed and there's only ONE that is consistently reliable, works-on-demand, and low cost. It is called the 'Grill Gauge'.  When I discoveed it was developed, used, and recommended by propane professionals I decided to spend the $14 and buy one. It truly is the best one out there because it is calibrated based on the 'weight' of the liquid propane in the tank - simple and effective! I bought mine at ACE but they are also sold at ******* and elsewhere. Save yourself the money and unreliability from the GasWatch device and buy the Grill Gauge instead!...

There is only ONE way to accurately and reliably measure propane - by weight!!! The Gaswatch does NOT measure by weight and is unreliable and inconsistent at best (not to mention expensive). I bought a GRILL GAUGE  and it is by far the best propane-measuring device on the market!! It measures the weight and works INSTANTLY!

Why not? That's the question to ask yourself if you grill out frequently.  If you grill out once in a long while, then maybe this small investment is not for you.

If you do, go out and get one of these right now!  It's great to have hooked up all the time, or, if your grill doors do not support the added length, just to through it on there to gauge things before grilling.

This handy little device will save any headaches from the propane going away during your cookout as you will always be prepared knowing your gas levels.

Pretty good

Make sure to read all the instructions!  It's a little hard to get it  in, but  over all a good replacement.

Had the same issue with this GasWatch gauge that many had.  Worked great initially but stopped "passing gas" after a while.  Thought I had an empty tank, but it was still heavy.  THEN I read the directions!  Apparently this gauge has a built in safety that shuts down the fuel supply if it detects a leak.  I reconnected the gauge and pushed in on the spring loaded face dial a couple of times and bingo...back to full tank reading and gas flowing again.  This company must get many returns because of this requirement.  Good Grillin!

Why bother?

You could spend about $20 on this, or... you could take a cup of room temperature water and pour it down the side of the canister.  You'll see a condensation line and know how much propane you have.  Completely unnecessary device.

Works great if you follow directions.

When I first hooked it up I knew I did something wrong when I had no gas to start the grill, the cylinder was full. I then read you have to push on the gadge to get it to work. When I followed the directions it worked great. I have had it for about a month and it is working great at showing me how much gas I have in the tank.

Great Gage

The GasWatch propane gage worked perfectly the first try. Easy installation, just follow the instructions, The important operational note is "Pump gage 3-4 times to operate and reset" No more trips for a refill in the middle of grilling a steak!
