Don't get me wrong... I LOVE the sun but on those REALLY hot summer days it can get a little steamy some relief is always welcome. I'd like to one day own a house with some type canopy or gazebo! Is it summer yet??!!

Yup.

Being a red-head makes shade a "must-have" for me...

I generally do my yardwork by following the shadows the shifting sun makes through the tall trees.

Having a medium size fenced in yard, mainly since we have a Shiba-Inu who likes to run and jump :), my husband really wants to get a gazebo in the backyard, among other improvements to the yard.

I must be the odd one out because my favorite type of days are the scorching ones! I love the feeling of the sun on my shoulders!

Rain.... Bring on the rain!  Canopys are great for that too :)  Being from the North.  I don't tan  I just burn different shades or red.  I don't care for the sun too much.

Gotta fix the old shed's roof, before the next rain.

But, at nearly 100 out... maybe later.

Sun bad, on red-head's shoulders...

Also makes my neck turn red.

We have a gazebo built onto the deck.  It is wonderful.  Now I am looking for a heavy duty stand to hold our hammock.  Has anyone have any ideas as to where to find one?

This is my first time on the blog.  Looks like fun.

Yaa... They sell metal tubular ones that are completely free standing.

The wife and I have two stands on our deck.

I seldom get enough time to "use" mine, though.

Gotta go kill some more black-berry vines!

When more photo posting space is opened up or embedded links are possible on this board, I'll be able to show you the jungle, that I call home.

It's a definite "fix'r up'r" property.

I never figured you for a red head or a red neck. is that what you call a person with a sun burned neck? Your hair in th epicture looks grey, like mine, although my picture is about five years old, maybe more :-)

Too late.

First rain came, before we got a new roof up.

Time to back step with reinforcing the existing old shed's roof and putting on an extra layer of roofing felt paper.

That Sears Home Improvement book has a chapter on DIY roofing.

I've got the shed for shade and a C3 fan for some breeze.

All I need now is to build a workbench out there, for fiddling (sharpening/restoring) with tools.
