Geico — 

When i was buying a new car, I shopped online for different Insurance quotes.State Farm and Geico gave me the most competitive quotes with State Farm being slightly lower than Geico.However when I called the two companies, State Farm customer service was slow and they gave me a quote which was different from their online quote. Compared to them Geico customer service was polite, they did not transfer me multiple times and their quote was the same as their online quote. Their swiftness in completing the transaction and faxing me the documents helped me to get a car quickly and efficiently.

Especially since you live in the suburbs, you completely missed the advantage of talking face to face to a State Farm (or other) insurance agent. My SF agent and her staff know me when I walk through the door or call on the phone (the agent calls me "sweetie" -- nice for an old guy to hear), they do everything in their powers to get me the lowest rates, and have never failed to solve any issues quickly and thoroughly. That personal touch is HUGE, and something I never had when I used GEICO and was known only as a number in their computer.

just wait till you file a claim with them-you may see the dark side of the real Geico, good luck!
