This 600-lb. capacity dumping Gorilla Cart is perfect for lawn and landscaping projects, as well as work around the garden. Simple, balanced dumping minimizes strain, and the patented 2-in-1 handle quickly converts to allow the cart to be pulled by hand or behind a lawn tractor. The durable, molded bed won't rust, cleans easily, and is virtually maintenance-free, and the 10" pneumatic tires are designed for any terrain.
I had a fairly large job involving removing about 5 tons of clay soils and replacing with 10tons of crushed limestone into a confined area which would have been difficult with any mechanical equipment. After reading reviews on the cart, I was hesitant that it would hold up to the punishment but found that it worked great! We were not gentle with it and loaded it heavily with stone with no problem in hauling or dumping. Was originally looking at using a two wheeled wheel barrow but really liked the low profile of the cart making it easier to load and since it is a cart, was much easier to move...
read full review »How many times have you stoned a driveway or mulched a yard or carried away weeds from flower beds and been unbalanced? To many times I've dumped a wheelbarrow from being overloaded. This product is like having the other person you require to help you steady the load! The tires look like they won't leave depressions in the ground like a wheelbarrow leg does and it is incomparable in starting momentum. If you don't have a Kabota or a Mule then a Gorilla is an affordable companion in the garden.
THE CART HELPS ME OUT SO MUCH FOR MY GARDENING, EASY TO ASSEMBLE.
I agree with other reviewers that the flat head screws test your patience during assembly. I found that it was best to hold the screw side and ratchet the bolt side and suggest having a helper to hold as you assemble. Remember to loosely attach the nuts until all holes are aligned and then go back and tighten later. I added large washers (not included) at the head of the screw inside the cart to reduce stress on the plastic and would suggest this to others also. The bolt head size risks cracking the plastic as the cart shifts on slopes and turns, and the washer doubles the amount of the plastic...
read full review »This dump cart was extremely difficult to assemble. I am a single woman who is very handy and have assembled many different items prior to this cart. The difficulty is not fully due to the instructions and diagrams or lack thereof - it is extremely clumsey to put together and certain bolts due to their location are hard to grasp/reach - I have many bruises and a couple of knicks to my skin following the assembly of this cart. I recommend that two people work together to assemble. In future, the manufacturer should pre-assemble most of the cart at the factory level so that the consumer only...
read full review »I've had my Gorilla cart for well over a month. I was nervous about the thin metal used for the front suspension assembly. Today with only 160lbs of mulch in it (the cart is rated for 600lbs) the front steering fork bent down towards the ground while towing the cart behind my rear-engine mower. There is one metal piece providing support for the lower front arm used for turning. his piece easily bent up allowing the suspension and tow arm to point down touching the ground. What a weak and poor engineering choice on the part of those designing the Gorilla Garden Dump Cart.
I'm adding a photo from...
read full review »I purchased this Gorilla cart for moving dirt and rock, it is very east to use and put together. I have used it 2 times now and made moving dirt so easy and easy to dump in the right location.
I use the Gorilla Cart for gardening. I pull out the weeds and dump them with no problem. I also use it for carrying my flowers and anything else with ease! Very easy to maneuver. My 6 year old daughter loves to help me and use the Gorilla Cart and moves it with no problem.
Now I have my own gardening cart and don't have to use my husbands wheel barrel. I hated using the wheel barrel because you would have to lift it to move it and it only has one wheel.
Does the job it was designed for, great for pulling by hand or towing behind a riding mower.. Easy to assemble and use.
Pretty sturdy for what I use it for
I bought this since my husband and I were in the process of hauling dirt around the yard, among other things. When I first opened it, I too was a little concerned with the durability. I must say that I was pleasantly surpised! Assembly wasn't too bad and the cart works great. In addition to dirt, we filled it with rocks that were in a bed in the back yard. We filled it with a few hundred pounds of rocks and it handled them like a champ...even the dumping feature! We had no trouble with the cart bogging down, but I think that's due to the extra air we pumped into the tires. I definitely...
read full review »Really nice little cart. I use it around the barn to do chores with my horses, as well as around the yard. Really looking forward to using it to move mulch in the spring time. VERY easy to pull and manuever, even in small spaces. Doesnt always dump ALL of the wet material, but it is still incredibly useful. Looking forward to using it even more as I complete some landscaping projects. Assembly did take a little time, wish the screws were philips instead of flat.
