This slow cooker is great for making chili and hearty soups& stew in the winter. I put everything in the cooker in the morning before we go out for a fun day of sleeding are snow boarding and when we get home it's waiting for us.
So easy to use and I really like the take along feature for family gatherings.
My old crock finally cracked, so I had to get a new one. I was bummed. The old one was simple and durable and lasted a long, long time. These new ones to choose from seem so flimsy and cheap.
But, I kept looking - for about a month. Then this HB Crock went on sale and I decided to go for it. Out of the package it was nothing too terribly spectacular. I used it on Superbowl Sunday for chili and I really liked it. The spoon with spoon-rest is a really clever idea and it packages so neatly. Okay, I'm getting sold on this thing. My kids love cabbage rolls. They also like a skirt steak roulade stuffed with spinach and tied in butcher's twice, dry rubbed,and cooked 4 hours. That is not happening in the oven!
This is also great for that markdown meat "use or freeze by tomorrow", the giant meatball with self forming tomato gravy, potato corn chowder, or anything that doesn't require constant attention. That gives all the attention to your kids!

The Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker makes preparing a delicious meal easy to do. I made a beef stew a couple of days ago and it was divine. I merely chopped the ingredients needed for the stew, secured the lid, and took off to work. My favorite part of this appliance is the locking lid. It is convenient for travel and it relaxes my nerves when my grandchildren are visiting because I know that the lid is sealed shut. I give this product both thumbs up.
I use the Hamilton Beach stay or go slow cooker all the time. I love the way it cooks and you can lock the lid down , to take it with you. I took it to work with me for lunch and when I returned home to get it out of my car I fell backwards and the crockpot went one way and I another, well nothing was spilled or broken on the crockpot just a small dig on the metal of the pot. So I would recomend this product to everyone. I wish you would make a carry case for this crockpot. Thanks Kathleen
This crock pot was bought for my husband as a Christmas Present last year. Since then he has transported around 25 times for shared dinners at his place of work.
It is a great crock pot that you can seal and also have the right spoon when you need it. A place to put either the owner's name or name of the food.
Its like this while cleaning up after the evening dinner, I pull something out of the freezer, and let it thaw in the cveggies in add water and by 3 or 4 my dinner is done!coker till morning , then i toss a coule of thick veggies in and walla its donewhen i get in from work
This is the handiest slow cooker I have used. I often take prepared food to church functions. While I can prepare them at leisure at home during the day, it is so good to lock the lid on, add the spoon, then take off to the church with no worries about spilling on the way as I have so frequently done with previous slow cookers. In a hilly and curvy region, often food does not stay where it starts out.
The large size is perfect for preparing for a crowd, and it is just so convenient.
My other favorite use of the Stay or Go is simply preparing food at home for a group coming in. Our family...
