Craftsman Variable Speed Blower Vac

Craftsman Variable Speed Blower Vac
mowing the lawn

NOV

2009

I purchased the Craftsman Variable Speed Blower/Vac after reading many reviews.  I was originally going to purchase the similar Toro model but the craftsman was on sale.  Easy to assemble; I have used it for several hours so far without problems. Blowing power VERY good, love the variable speed capability since the blower is very powerful on highest speed. I found the vac to be good--just don't overload when vacuuming leaves, just vac with slow and steady speed. Mulches excellent, bag ok but of course fills up fast and opening is very wide and not so easy to dump the mulch into paper leaf bags. ...

Husqvarna 28cc Handheld Gas Blower

Husqvarna 28cc Handheld Gas Blower

Did lots of research before buying the Husqvarna, had it narrowed down to this and a stihl. Bought the husky basically because I like Sears and the people at Sears Hardware in Fairhaven, MA. I ordered it online in the store and saved the shipping cost.

Overall I'm very happy with it, it started on the third pull right out of the box (just follow the starting procedure). This is replacing an old Ryan blower and the difference is night and day.  The Husky starts easily, idles and runs excellent with little vibration, and launches wet leaves and pine cones with ease, also used it from a ladder...

HATE raking

NOV

This machine is outstanding! It will reduce your raked leaves by a third or more plus you can mulch up those small btanches that often come of the trees. It turns several hours of raking and bagging into a much less cumbersome task. The vacuum allows you to clean around structure and plants. It may disappoint if the leaves are wet!

I needed a trimmer to trim several bushes in my yard as well as some heavy brush growing over the fence. This trimmer worked great.  Easy to use and not to heavy. It made easy work of my project. I would highly recommend.

Saw was great at first, started loosing power and locked up and yes the oil mix was correct. used it maybe 6 times in the year and a half, spend the extra money and get the styhl or echo. This saw makes a great boat anchor.

HATE raking

Owned this vac for 4 years and had several problems before the engine died. 1 st. season the screws holding the front "scoop" on vibrated out and were lost. The side bracket holding the hose snapped off at the bolt. 2nd season, the bag sprung holes and spewed leaves and debris right back out. A new bag is well over $100. I sewed mine up which lasted until this season. The front leaver to switch to hose suction would never stay latched making it impossible to to use this feature consistently. Other mechanical parts were breaking off reguarly as time went on. I treated this machine with kid gloves...

I purchased this blower today to replace a craftman gas blower that had stopped working. I was considering the 4 cycle model, which was a $100.00 more than this blower attachment. I have the 4 cycle convertable Craftman weed wacker and have been very satisfied with its performance. Purchasing this attachment was a wise investment as I realized when I used it. It is powerful, which speed can be controlled by the power head. I was more than please with its operation and performance.

This is a great addition to the Sears line.  I tried this out a few months ago on my trimmer and I was amazed on how quick it started compared to using a gas and mixing it myself.  Overall over the last couple of months, it has provided a quick start each and every time for my trimmer and it starts like it is new again.  Got this on a great deal where it was something like 2 for 1 or half price so I stocked up with 4 cans.  I would suggest the same whenever the next sale starts.

My wife forced me into purchasing this "electric tool" If you don't cut though the extension cord you have your self one great yard tool.  Both my wife and I are satisfied with our purchase decision.

This tool makes any brush clearing or hedge trimming job a snap!  I highly recommend the purchase, and you can't beat the price.

Craftsman 18 In. 42CC Gas Chain Saw

Craftsman 18 In. 42CC Gas Chain Saw
growing my food, Homeowner, mowing the lawn

NOV

2009

I have used this saw now for four years. This product has a strong motor that starts easily if the instructions are followed and the air filter and spark arrestor are kept clean. But, as mentioned in a previous review, the chain oiler system needs a better design. First, the oiler holes on the chains bar slot clog very easily and continually need to be dismantled and cleaned making any single tree cutting an all afternoon affair rather than a simple adjustment or interment blade sharpening. The chain and bar oil ends up everywhere but on the chain where it is most needed and I recently, while...

Craftsman cordless 9volt

Craftsman cordless 9volt
ease of use

NOV

2009

I purchased this cordless chain saw to replace my larger one.  I was tired of cord pulling, and do not like extension cords.  This is for sure a light weight use, but, was able to trim up my tree with relative ease.    Comes with the 9 volt battery and charger. I look forward to many years with this saw.

the saw claims "for occasional use only". I bought what I could afford at the time and it paid for itself very quickly. Three years later it still runs. I cut 12 full cords of firewood with it so far. The air filter is not very good and lets fine dust in around it. Rinse carb often and make sure the foam filter seats as well as it can. When you can afford to, buy a Husqvarna as I did. Craftsman is OK but Husky are still the best. As a young man I made a living with them.
