I picked this up just the other day after purchasing a toolbox to keep things under control and organized. For such a simple product, I really feel that it is the best way to go. Keeps things neat and tidy and makes picking out and putting away sockets extremely easy. This is a pretty sturdy piece and seems as though they could last just as long as the box.
I like how it keeps my sockets organized and easy to find. Just make sure you are putting your sockets into a deep drawer, they get tall when stacked.
By far the best option if you are looking to organize your sockets, and dont need to get all the sockets out when you only need one (like a metal clip rail). The pins for the tiny sockets seem like they could break, but if these just sit in your tool box then you shouldnt have to worry about it.
These trays dont skip sizes like others. The sockets are very easy to put on and take off the pins.
But dang are these guys expensive. I needed six of these things.... 3 for SAE and 3 for metric.
This is a very handy organizer that will really clean up your tool box and save you time when looking for a socket. On the plus side you only need one hand to remove the socket, unlike the types where the socket snaps in place. T he down side is that the sockets must stand straight up and the deepwells will force you to use one of your taller tool drawers. Not a big deal if you ask me, especially considering this is about half the price of an identical organizer off of one of the tool trucks. I bought one in all sizes for every metric and standard socket I own.
