What vitamins, minerals or daily eating routines do you swear by?

I like to think that I get all the vitamins and minerals I need based off of the food I eat, but I'm always looking for some advice on how to improve. Thank you!

Oh I could use the same advice here. I won't dare try to offer my bad habits! Vitamins are probably a really good idea if you're always on the run and don't sleep much though.

Don't do this personally, but my parents love the fish oil.

I use organic multi-vitamins from Whole Foods. I forget their name right now. Something like Nature's Choice. I've found they are really useful. I also take 1,000 mg Vitamin D due to the lack of sun I get out here in Chicago.

Janet is absolutely correct.  If there is one thing that everyone should be taking, it is fish oil.  I take two capsules a day.  It is good for your brain, your skin, and for older people it is a quick help for people with arthritis because it helps to lubricate sore joints.  I would highly recommend them.

fish oil is great.  gender specific multi vitamans are a good idea.  if you work out or run a lot you might want to take something like whey protein to help rebuild your muscles after exercising.

Pretty much anything, except vitamin K.

It interferes with my blood-thinning (dillute rat poison) medication.

Darned!

No spinach, brussel sprouts, chard, or leafy greens.

:(

I cant take the horse pill vitamins anymore.  I used to take them often, but they created alot of gas in my stomach I couldn't get out.  Hurt bad.  So I cant take anything with an oxidizer in it.

Im sure you all wanted to know that ;)

You're right...its better to get vitamins and mins from the fruits and veggies that you eat...its more effective than taking the vitamins.

I drink a lot of tea (Black and green, mostly green) Green tea especially is good for you. I always feel great when I drink it, I don't if it just relaxes me because its hot or if its also the health benefits (chock full of antioxidants). I highly recommend you giving that a try if you want to feel good. Im always in a good mood when I've had a cup; coffee can make me cranky after a while :)

Green tea is NOT good for me (blood thinner).

I think I am still allowed Iced Tea...

Fruit is good.

The male Yellow Lab is addicted to apples.

He'll cheerfully eat the core of an apple.

Although, I leave some apple for him around the core.

Coffee makes me uncrank.  As in; I'm so much happier after coffee.  They should make that a Vitamin.
