My sister recently tried a pedometer to incorporate more activity in her life. She felt it motivated her to walk more, b/c she enjoyed the challenge of getting her step count up very high.
Who has tried one of these and what are your thoughts? Is it worthwhile and what results were you trying to achieve with it?
I have always thought about this one. The instructor of the kickboxing class I go to once started a challenge with some of the gym members to see how often they could get to 10000 steps a day-which was what she said is the ideal.
