If you want to stop the rotation, use an extension cord and plug the tree in to that, and not the base. We had some bulbs out as soon as we got it all set up. Of course, the spares that came with it are white and red. The colors burnt out? Blue and green, of course. We will be contacting the company about getting some replacements since we JUST bought  the tree. Our main problem is that if we select one of the 11 light patterns, it does not stay on that selection when the tree is turned back on later. We have to keep re-selecting every time we turn it on.

I do not understand where I plug the tree into if not into base and I want it to stop turning. Could you please explain exactly how I can do this?
