A SECTION DOESN'T LIGHT UP

I have one little section of the color lights that won't light up.  I bought the floor model, so don't have an instruction sheet.  the 1,2 3 and 4 connectors all seem fine.  do you think it is a single bulb that is the problem.  does it say anywhere that one bulb can effect a group??  any help would be appreciated!!  love the fact that i learned how to bypass the rotation thru the reviews, thanks!

A $9.99 or $14.99 voltage detector will help trace which wires are active and hopefully will help quickly locate that pesky loose connection.

And, BANG!

The whole tree will be lit and you'll have an extra electrical diagnosis tool for any other future DIY tasks around the home.

And, the devices do not require any actual "contact" with live bare wires.

Good tools...

thanks!!  i moved a couple of bulbs and got them to light, but would still like to find replacement bulbs.

The bulbs are pretty standard.

You can finally still find replacement packets of bulbs at hardware and variety stores, like Rite-Aid.

Not many people buy replacement bulbs - ahead of time, with a new string of lights.

If the bases don't match, unbend the wire leads in the replacement bulb and damaged bulb bases, to pull out and exchange the bulbs.

Just rebend the new bulbs, placed in the tree string bulb base, and reinsert the bulb in the tree's string of lights.

Voila!
