“4 gallons is OUTPUT”

To the folks complaining about the reservoir size....humidifiers are sold based on the OUTPUT, not the reservoir size. So, a "4-gallon" advertisement is not "false advertising." Read the specs section and it will tell you what the reservoir size is. Divide the output by the reservoir size and that's how many times/day you'll have to fill it up if you run it constantly at full speed. Do you really think a 12-gallon humidifier will hold 12 gallons? Try lugging that from the sink or filling it up 1-gallon at a time.

“Less than advertised”

Unit does not even come close to holding 4 gallons. On lowest setting ran for 9 hours and was completely empty with NO change in the humidity level indicator. Have to fill it in the shower or use a hose if you don't have a tall faucet. Bought 2 units and will likely return them. Poor representation by the company of their product performance.

“Filters are the only issue”

I cannot find the filters anywhere. So before you buy it or when you do buy extra. the filters went needed to be replaced after only a month or two. I will say I do have pets and that is part of the problem. It works great and it is sturdy. My only issue is the filters.

“NOT 4 Gals”

Nice unit BUT WATCH OUT! If you want 4 gallons as the ad says today you will be suprised! Tank only holds 1.3 gallons and you need a deep kitchen sink or high faucet to fill it.

“The best Bionaire Humidifier on the market!”

Bionaire bcm645 is a wonderful addition to my fall and winter heating keeping the moisture level right where I set it. The added moisture in the house keeps us all healthier andprevents dry noses and throats. I love this thing and wouldn't be without it. It is extreemly quiet and runs 1-3 days depending on the setting before you have to refill the tank. Be sure to change the fliter wicks every few months or so to enjoy the freshness and added mositure the heating season's hot air takes away.
