“Effective, but not care free . . .”

We have had the Holmes cool mist humidifier for about a year and run it every night for our kids. You can select the level of humidity you wish it to release, which also determines how often you have to refill it. “Loud and dirty”

This humidifier has two settings: Loud, and Louder. The fan is way too loud and you will not want to use it in an occupied room. Also, the fan blowing through the wick makes the air in the room colder, which I wasn't expecting. I should have bought the boiling water kind instead. “New and moldy”

I bought this humidifier today from Kmart and opened the box to find the filter full of mold. If the filter can't even stay clean on the shelf, what's the point?

“Holmes Small Room Humidifier”

I needed a small humidifier for my 12' x 14' bedroom and this model is perfect. It's more than adequate for the space on the "high" setting and I'm able to conserve on energy by dialing down for night sleeping. The water reservior holds enough for two days of operation, at my setting, w/o having to be refilled. The only isssue I had was that the fan is a bit noisy. People who have issues with falling asleep to fan noise (i do not) might find it very noisey.

“I love it!”

It is great. I have an older dry home that usually cause my throat to become dry when the heat it turn up beyond 65 degrees. I do not suffer from as many nose bleeds or scratchy throats.  This is a must purchase unit.
