Can't be turned on with a timer.

Works great! Unfortunately, I need the fan to turn on every day two hours before I get home. This fan will not work with a timer. The timer turns it off just fine, but when power is returned 12 hours later the fan doesn't start. The water resistant motor is very appropriate, but would be more valuable... read full review »

Holmes Twin Window Fan

This product does not move enough air, tried setting one fan to intake other to exhaust, both intake then exhaust and vice versa, nothing. Left on for hours at a time and 2-3 degrees different from the out side temp. Recommend buying an air conditioner period.

GREAT FAN!!! REALLY WORKS!! A++

I bought this fan to save on energy costs (saves up to 80%) despite the doubts I had of it.  But after I installed it (which took 1 min) I turned both fans on "Intake" and closed the door. When I came back, it felt as if I had installed an A/C unit. This is AMAZING! And if its hotter outside than in...put both fans on "Exhaust" and it sucks all the hot air out. Or...put one fan on "Intake" and one on "Exhaust" and have a fresh air circulating throughout your room or house.  This fan is a must have!

Bought the Holmes Twin Window Fan for my teenage son's bedroom -- it gets hot in the sun all day but he has no room for a table of floor fan.

This evening the window fan was fitted in minutes -- he loves the design concept -- and he was immediately exhausting the hot air from the room.  Later he reversed the airflow and drew in cooler night air from outside.

He is delighted and thinks he will sleep well tonight as a result.

Have a question

The fan works OK...but when trying to take off the back cover to clean...you can't get the entire piece off. It gets stuck at the end where the extension is to fit in any window. Don't want to force it off, might break the plastic. But getting frustrated so I might go ahead and break it off anyway. Don't want to run it with all the dirt buildup.

Holmes Twin Window Fan

Excellent product. I do wood working as a hobby, and create a lot of dust while sanding. I installed the fan in a window, set it for exhaust, the fan pulled out the dust and now I have virtually no dust particles when I do my finishing. After finishing the work, I wait about 20 minutes then turn the fan on to extract fumes from the room. The fan is very quiet and very efficient. I am thinking of getting another one for the other window in the shop.

Dual window fan

The fan is quiet enough and does move air well. You have the continue to press the button to cycle through high, then low speed and then through the temperature settings of 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 degrees. I don't think that the thermostat works well. It didn't shut off when clearly the temperature was below the setting. I called the company to order the "free" extra filler to block the side of the window. They didn't have any in stock and I was told that I would have to call back in a few weeks, rather than placing a back order.

Heat Wave relief!

Oh my gosh - we just got hit with a heat wave and am I glad I picked up the twin window fan last month at Sears. In fact I got four to disperse around the apartment. When we got home from work I put on the exhaust to push the hot air out and later changed to full intake when the air cooled in the evening. (Using one exhaust and one intake works great too.) Our neighbors were wilting and a friend wrote email this morning and said she wished she would have picked up the fan before the heat wave. Buy it and Enjoy!

Electronic Window Fan

You know whats so good about this fan? You can save on your electric bill as you can use your A/C less often. I live on the ground floor and have installed the fan in the UPPER part of my window where it just circulates the warmer air that tends to accumulate up there. Its very effective, and the remote is a godsend. This window fan is rated safe to use even if while its raining outside. That's a good feeling because summer rains can sneak up on you around here.

window fan

I bought this fan last year for my daughter's dorm room and she has used it for a year and is really pleased with it. She loves using the remote control, not having to get up to change speeds. Also nice that it works both ways. It is very effective in drawing in the breeze as she is up in Chicago without air conditioning.

Great Fan. Has many options and features. Well built. I would recommend! It is quieter than most I have had in the past.
