“it ok, but just ok”

it is heavy. it does not get under furniture, like a coffee table. it is noisy. the pet cleaner attachment is DEAFENING. don't plan on using that unless you are deaf. it does suck, as a vacuum cleaner should, and it does a good job. i paid $100. for it. for what i got, an appropriate price. like i said,... read full review »

“Great Value”

I've had this vacuum for almost 3 months and I do not have any complaints. It fairly light so it's not a problem to share between floors. It's also very simple to empty once filled, just push the lever and the bottom opens, so no dust flying back in your face! The duster attachments works very well too, the tools aren't top notch but they get the job done and it has great suction where I've found others did not. I also like the easy on/off, cord and tilt buttons. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great vacuum at a great price.

“Love the vac, but the dirt holder breaks”

I have the model number U5507900 and have really loved this product...works very well. The only trouble I am having now is the bottom flap where you empty the dirt has broken. This part should be re-designed in a metal hinge as the plastic tabs break off from constant emptying. Now I can't even find a part to replace it...out of stock. Besides this trouble..this has been the best vacuum I have owned.

“The Hoover Elite Bagless vacuum lasts and saves you money! ”

What I love about The Hoover Elite Rewind Bagless Vacuum I purchased from Sears, first off I was sold on the fact that Sears stands by their product 100% and proves it by fixing the belts anytime they breaks free with proof of purchase. This perticular vacuum is worth the cost! Its tough and long lasting, no gimicks attached! You can save yourself lots of money with this purchase and cause less waste with not having to buy bags and filters. This vacuum does not disappoint!

“better than expected”

I have two kids tracking in a lot and I've used several bag type vacuums from cheap to middle range but nothing newer than 10 years old. This really picks up compared to my experience with the old ones. Just have to frequently knock the fine dust out of the filter. You'll be surprised how much crud fills the container after each use, but you will find more in the filter. The filter comes out easily when you remove the container to dump, just twist off the filter holder and I just flick the pleats of the filter with my finger and hit it on the side of a wastebasket and a lot of very fine dirt comes... read full review »

“LOVE this vacuum!”

This is THE best vacuum I've ever had. LOVE it! I love how you just press a lever & the cord auto rewinds so no fighting to wind it up. emptying the cup is great, just press the lever & it dumps out, no getting blasted in the face w/ dust. its not heavy either. controls are also in a convenient spot. would DEFINETLY recommend.

“Great buy”

I would like to thank the folks that leave reviews of products, I rely heavenly on the opinions of others. I really like my new vaccum, I was way overdue for another one. This vaccum is very quite and easy to put together which did not require much. I struggled at first with twisting the top piece of the container that holds the dirt. The bottom comes undone pretty easy, but the top did not come off with easy. I highly recommend the purchase of this vaccum.

“Hoover Elite One of the best Vacuums I've owned”

This is my first bagless, and I Love It! Im glad i waited for the ALL reusable filter version, all pre-filters, bags, after filters are made of plastic and wash and reuse

Bagless does a FAR superior job cleaning compared to baged, youll be shocked the first time you use it at how much your old vacuum left behind!

So far my Hoovers has been working well and well made

“steer clear”

In less than a year, this was ready for the trash. Hoses clogged with normal use, unit overheated and shut off, canister would not open..very disappointed. It had all the features I wanted but it must be poorly designed to have all these troubles. I'll be going back to dirt devil.

“First impressions: Very Good”

I recently put in new carpet in several rooms, only to find that my Oreck vacuum did a really bad job picking up dirt, etc..... I'm not a vacuum expert, but wanted to relay a my opinions.

I went on Sears.com and read all the customer reviews on vacuums. Main requirements were inexpensive and at least a 4 star rating. After spending way too much time reading reviews, I settled on the Hoover Elite Rewind vacuum.

My first vacuum experience was very good. It has great suction and I really like having a bagless vacuum! I could't believe the amount of carpet lint it picked up! I had to empty the canister...

“nice vac”

I bought this about a month ago....great product good power. The only thing I don't like is where the power button is and that it doesn't lay flat to go under things.... the bagless system works great and is easy to operate.....like it so much we are getting a second one for our lake house

“Nice Vac for the Price”

I like this vacuum a lot; it was easy to set up and it's pretty light actually so it's not hard to carry around or to push like some can be. The only 2 drawbacks I find on it are the length of the cord- the cord could be a lot longer; as it is, I have to plug it into 3-4 different sockets as I am vacuuming the house but I do like the retractable cord function. The other area that needs work is its steadiness; by this I mean how easy it is to tip the vacuum over when you're using the extension hose. “Best Vacuum for the Price!!”

After WEEKS of searching for the vacuum that would be best for me, I came across a great Website that named the Hoover Elite as one of the best vacuums made. The price was perfect for me, as I cannot see spending 200/300 dollars on a vacuum. I picked it up at Sears and brought it home. The assembly was extremely easy. Only one screw to attach the handle to the base, and the rest was just snapping the attachments where they need to go.
