This chain saw is well suited for smaller jobs.  I bought it for clean up work after several storms.  It worked great for smaller branches but felt underpowered on the larger ones.  If I had to do it again, I would've purchased a larger model.  This model is good to have around for emergencies though....

Most Helpful Critical Review

Bought this a year ago, had to  take to Husqvarna dealer after fist week( wouldn't run). Company repaced it with a new one.Two weeks later happened again. Company replaced with an upgrade. In storage all winter. Tried it last week, guess what? Its in the shop ...again. Instead of having it repaired,...

Husqvarna 34.4cc 2-Cycle 16&#34 Gas Chain Saw Reviews

I wanted a lighter chainsaw for pruning, limbing and smaller saplings and this was the perfect fit. I also have a much heavier 24" 60.3cc Husqvarna for serious tree felling but this lighter chain saw is simply better (and safer) on smaller jobs. Husqvarna quality remains top-notch and I have never had any issues with any Husqvarna equipment. It is well designed and very reliable if used for its intended task. However, I would recommend higher octane fuel (the manual says 87 is fine) for any extended work with this saw. Its worth the extra 30-40 cents a gallon and it will give you much better... read full review »

I picked this up and have used it to cut down about 5 trees.  No issues with it in the negative at all.  Real solid in material.

We purchased a chainsaw.  We bought the warranty. We were very satisfied with the purchase.  We have no complaints with the salesman that we used.

Good Little Saw

I bought this saw a few days ago because my other saw stopped working. We burn about 8 cords of wood a year and want to save some money by doing much of it ourselves. I didn't want to spend too much money in case I felt uncomfortable felling trees; regardless, we would still have the need for a decent saw given our long tree-lined driveway. The bad: It took more than a few pulls to start the first time. I threw the chain in the first 10 minutes (I saw that it was loose and continued so that was really on me). It took some doing to get the side cover back on after fixing the thrown chain (see below).... read full review »

Husqvarna 235

The first one I puchased would not keep the bar bar and chain oiled. The replacement one I have now I am also going to return. The chain case/clutch cover is VERY cheap and difficult to replace when changing the chain. It does start easily, and cut well. I have also purchased the Poulan 20 inch. Do not waste your money on this lemon. I bought a McCulloch Eager Beaver in 1992 for light pruning and cutting. It has paid for itself many times over. I have only had to change spark plugs and saw blades. Very well built saw for the money. More reliable than the Husqvarna 235.

H-235 just don't start, twice

Bought this based on Consumer Reports recommendation, and brand awareness. Used it once for 5 minutes, then it never started again. Returned and replaced it at Sears (no problem, thanx), and replacement saw also does not start, not even cough. Went to Husq website, no support ph# even, sent email. Who needs this aggravation! Will return this one too, and shop another brand.

Husqvarna P142

A quick starting, easy cutting, easy adjusting saw with safety built in. I'm always looking for firewood to cut, for the shear enjoyment of using my Husq!

Oiler Stopped on 2nd use

Given as a gift and initially seemed to work well, was able to cut down 9 small - medium trees. The oiler stopped working on the second use which caused the chain to jump and bend some of the bar guides. So now I have a bent chain and a non working oiler..... This one is headed back to be returned.

Husqvarna 235 chain saw

Based on what i had heard about the qualtity of Husqvarna products, i chose to get this saw to replace my tired mid 70's Homelite chain saw.

Had a lil bit of trouble geting it to start out of the box, even tho I followed the instructions to the letter.(Even got EXACTLY 2 gallons of recommended octane gas to mix with Husqvarna oil.)

So far, only used it a few times, mostly on small branch clean up, and small leftover tree stump removal, left over from last fall's felling using a bow saw of stumps being 2 ft or so in length.

Ran great, cut VERY nicely and quickly with no effort.

I DID notice what...
