I compared the John Deere Z425, Cub Cadet 54 inch ZTR, Toro, and Craftsman 52 inch ZTR. All had great features but the Husqvarna RZ5424 had equal or better features for less money. The construction quality is equal to the John Deere for $1100 less. The Hydro-Gear transaxles have the same diameter drive shafts as the John Deere, the engine is a proven Kohler 24 hp. The mower cuts very even without scalping. Same warranty coverage as competitors. I believe this mower exceeds the quality of the MTD competitors. Very Pleased. If you are looking for a Residential Quality Zero Turn Mower, I highly recommend.
