“Perfect resort and then some!”
My husband and I went on a little three night anniversary get-away to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Lake Buena Vista earlier this month and our trip was amazing! The resort made a terrific first impression and was able to keep, and actually improve, our opinion over the course of the three days. The lobby was like an escape to a tropical paradise...palm trees, bubbling streams and even a macaw! We were granted a room upgrade and our room was perfect. The king-sized bed was super comfortable, everything was sparkling clean and the view, breathtaking. Not only could you see all the resort had to offer but you could see all of Downtown Disney and the EPCOT "ball"; INCREDIBLE at night! We were always out at night but I was told you can see the fireworks from Illuminations.
The Grand Cypress had everything you needed to enjoy a resort vacation. It was truly an oasis away from the Disney craziness yet it's minutes away from everything Disney has to offer. The resort does charge a minimal resort fee ($15/day per room) but it's so worth it. Everything is available...multiple pools with 2 water slides, spas and waterfalls, a very nice exercise room, game room, every kind of bike you could imagine (we had a blast on the surrey bike), a 9-hole pitch and put golf course (great of you'd like to get a taste for golf without paying huge greens fees), tennis courts, a rock climbing wall, MILES of nature trails and a nature reserve boardwalk and to top it off, a lake (not for swimming) with all sorts of different boats. I could go on and on!
Everything was clean, the staff was helpful, courteous, friendly and seemed eager to please. The resort can be enjoyed by everyone from a romantic get-away to a full- fledged family Disney experience.
Oh yeah, there are at least 4-5 restaurants on site to meet all your dining needs.
I truly can't say enough great things about the Grand Cypress. We can't wait to go back with our family!
