I had a tall pedal-type trashcan which was too big (only got taken out a couple times each week P.U.) for our needs. At first I was annoyed that there is a slight delay in the infrared opening the lid but realize that it's just as fast as walking all the way over to the can and stepping on a pedal. I would recommend this if you don't have a need for a large can (2-3 people at most). Thank goodness for the power switch-keeps the toddler out (guess that's part of learning the "cause and effect" that is so important for them to learn).
After cheking out many trash cans, I think I have found the perfect trash container for me and my husband. The size is perfect for just two of us. The operation is simple and works fine. On top of that, the price is very satisfactory. The only thing that I can suggest on this product is about batteries. It would be more consumer -friendly, if the batteries are included. But I will be happy to recommend this to all my friends.
this trash can provides a locked top. A necessity with children, animals, or an awkward placement. the infrared light that automatically opens keeps your hands free to do other things without having to wash up. nice hinge and appealing stainless finish.
No need to dirty the hands or the can. Easily disposes of trash like magic. Great sleek modern look. Easily maintained with a damp cloth or windex. Enjoy.
