This thing has some power. At work we use the 231C IR gun so when it cant get some bolts I whip out the 2135 and it hardly flinches. I also personally dont think its that loud, I was expecting it to hurt my ears with all of the reviews on how loud it is but it is one of the quieter guns I have used and it isn't even the quiet version.

I've owned this for about a year now and have used it primariy for work under my car and truck.  It has done everything I need and has done it well; including front end/suspension work, macpherson shock/strut replacement, control arms, etc.  I haven't had a need yet to test it on a crank bolt/pulley (torqued at 150-200 ft lbs), so I am not sure if it should be able to take one off or not.

I can only compare it to a craftsman impact wrench at about 1/2 the torque rating, and there was an obvious difference.  That wrench struggled to get exhaust bolts off.

I am very pleased with this and will...

I have been a heavy equipment mechanic for 11 years I have ran countless impacts.  MAC, Snap On,CP,Craftsman etc.  I now have a complete set of the IR titanium's 2 3/8 drives 2 1/2 drives and 2 3/4 drives.  I carry two of each because when you use them like I do they are going to were out and need repaired this way I always have a back up.  My big problem is I work outside every day.  So my service truck air is not the cleanest.  It is always full of water and dirt.  I keep the tools well oiled and they work great they also hold up good in the winter when I can not run oil because it is...

BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK

OK, what I'm about to tell you is simple. This is probably one of the BEST impact guns you'll ever find. If you can't remove the nut with this gun, than you're not using it right. I've went to multiple auto repair shops and asked them whats the best out there. They've all said the same. INGERSOLL RAND! I've asked Snap-on, MAC, Matco and of course they all said their brands are better, however I guarantee they all have a knock off of this gun. If you don't believe me go to shops yourself and ask, mechanics love to spit out information about tools. It's their specialty, they use it everyday so they'll... read full review »

top notch

I've been working at dealerships as a mechanic for a few years now, and i started out with a craftsman gun (valued around $130) i really liked the tool but after 6 months of professional everyday use and abuse the extra featured swivel started spewing air & eveltually stopped working reliably. My replacement was the IR Titanium. I was immedialty impressed by how much torque the thing put out. Its pretty rare i ever come across a bolt it even grunts at, it comes out on top every time. Be forwarned that this is a rather loud gun. If this is a problem I'd advise you to spend the extra money and get... read full review »

Over rated

I purchased this impact gun to remove a crank pulley bolt, the bolt didn't even budge after count-less attempts. Yes I was going the right way. Don't waste your cash.

Been using this impact wrench for a few months now with no issues. Mostly used on wheel lugs and suspension parts. Made the job 100x easier. Very powerful and has high rpm's. Gets the job done!
