“Incredibly Quiet, Quality tool”

First of all, you won't believe how quiet it is, free running it makes half the noise my ELECTRIC impact gun makes. When working all you hear is the mechanical noise, no scream of the air tool motor at all.

It's light, has the power you would expect from a 1/2" drive air impact wrench plus some.

Only time will tell if the composite rear section and handle will hold up to abuse, and the plastic rotation direction buttons (which are in a very good location). I don't mean cheap plastic, appears to be the typical industrial grade stuff...heck even the intake manifold on my truck is made of plastic...

“Plenty-O-Power”

The 2131QT impact wrench would be plenty suitable for professional mechanics, but I'm just DIY'er who likes to work on my car & save a little ca$h when I can. It provides plenty of torque, is quiet and smooth...though I wish it would've come with a case for storage. Still, for the price & quality it's a great little gun that gets'er done!

this is the best impact wrench out there... like everybody said it quiet and powerful... this wrench has never let me down once... if you are looking for a good impact wrench, this is the one to get!!!

“IR2131QT...great buy”

This is a great choice,my snap-on gun failed recently and i needed a replacement immediately.The local sears store had it in stock and i bought it the same night. It is absolutely amazing how quiet this gun is,and after tightening lug nuts on a vehicle,i checked each one and none were loose!the minimized noise leads you to believe the fasteners are not tight enough but they are.Excellent product.

“Quiet and strong”

This impact wrench is awesome. I got it because of it's low noise since my hearing is hurt due to not wearing ear protection and because it is an IR. It is so quiet the guys I work with didn't think I had the air turned up on my regulator. The only thing you hear is the hit of the hammer. The only nut I haven't been able to break loose was an engine mount that had to be loosened with a 3 foot breaker. I am pleased with the performance of this.

“This one goes to eleven!!!”

I truly wish there was a higher rating than just a lowly "5 Stars". Quiet is an understatement. Plenty of power, incredibly easy to use, extremely well balanced in the hand, making it very easy to work with at odd angles and extended reaches. Much better value than the Titanium equivalent. I am telling everyone know about this tool, even people that don't know what an impact wrench is, should they ever need one, they are now well informed that this is the one to buy.

I have been a mechanic for over 20 years and I must say that the Ingersoll-Rand 1/2 in. Impact Wrench 2131 Quiet Tool is truly one of the best Impact wrenches that I have ever owned. Its light, quiet and haven't failed me yet. I highly recommend this tool to every mechanic out their.

“My first Impact Wrench was the right purchase”

Since I have just started using air tools recently I wanted to purchase an Impact Wrench that was economical as well as durable. With the 2131QT, I got a heavy duty drill that was affordable but also lighter and quieter than impact wrenches that I have used previously. I did some research on the internet before I finally decided on this impact wrench and when I saw that Sears had it on sale, I rushed over to purchase it right away because I needed it for the weekend to PM my truck and my Camaro. I only use a 1.5HP / 15 gal. compressor to run my air tools and this was no problem for the 2131QT....

“Strong and quiet”

Long story short...this replaced my SnapOn XT7100 at work. IR has done a superb job. Very very quiet...first used it at work and coworkers commented that it sounded like a sewing machine!! Have yet to come across anything it can't break loose on automobiles and light trucks. The low air requirement makes it feel a lot stronger in comparison to some other brands when you are stuck with a poorly designed shop air supply. And did i mention quiet!!

“600 LBS OF PUNCH With a Quiet Tast”

This impact gun is one of the nicestest tool's i own which i use everyday in the shop. It small, it made by Ingersoll-Rand and only require about 4.7 CFM and it very quiet. The only thing you hear is the impact from the socket and metal. It is very light and it will zap lug nut off with a few blow's. Great for Shop & at home . Highly Recommend"
