Jenn-Air 19.8 cu. ft. French-Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator —

I wish I had read the reviews on this one before I bought it. The main thing we hated about our old refrigerator was the noise. I wanted quiet. The specs say it has a special sound package. This feature is the one that "sold" me on it. How much noise would it make if it didn't have it? It makes a lot of "motor" noises and quite loud at that. I like the features though. The cabinet depth and the double door are great for being able to see everything. I love the wide shelf at the bottom. The deep door shelves bring all the frequently used items to the front. The bottom freezer is great. It holds plenty and since it is used less often, it belongs on the bottom. We have a cabinet that is less than 24" deep, so the cabinet depth is perfect for us. It still sticks out about an inch but some side by sides would stick out 8 inches. The temperature has been fine, no problems. The ice maker works. But, the water dispenser doesn't work. No water comes out. I'll be calling repair service for that (only had it a few days). I know there are other refrigerators that have the same features. I can't help wondering if I could have gotten one that was more quiet and maybe cheaper too. I picked this one because of Consumer Reports reviews and the Jenn-Air name/reputation. It was highly rated. Go figure. I didn't rate for durability because I've only had it a few days.
