Shake, Rattle and Roll

This refrigerator is beautiful, I like the storage area in both refrigerator and freezer areas. The water filter is expensive to replace. It makes a lot of noise, I'm wondering if it is not properly balanced which could be the cause of all the rattling. I've read the article about temperature problems.... read full review »

Not quiet!

I wish I had read the reviews on this one before I bought it. The main thing we hated about our old refrigerator was the noise. I wanted quiet. The specs say it has a special sound package. This feature is the one that "sold" me on it. How much noise would it make if it didn't have it? It makes a lot... read full review »

Jenn-Air 19.8 cu. ft. French-Door Bottom... Reviews

Very noisy. Since day one it has made noise. Although a technician was dispatched they couldn't fix it. We gave up after 2 times. Cheap. The bottom plastic door broke off. Filter very expensive. The filter change indicator does not nor has it ever worked. We have learned to change filter when water flow diminishes. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this unit. It sucks and I hate it.

Wow! My Jenn Air French door fridge stopped working last night. It was 61/2 yrs old. My neighbor's stopped working last year at 5. Went to a large appliance dealer in Chicago and salesperson explained that they are made to last 7-10 yrs. He said they could make it better but it keeps people working. The worst part is that I wanted to get a better quality one after this, let's say a Viking, well it is exactly the same fridge with different doors for over a grand more. Made by the same company amana/ whirlpool. Depressing. Check it out for yourself! It blows. I can pay 29 dollars and my... read full review »

I've owned a Jenn-Air 19.8 cu. ft. Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator for about four years and in that time is has failed three times. Good thing I bought extended warrantees - twice. The first problem turned out to be a blown circuit board. The second was a dead compressor. Not sure what this problem might be but won't know until Friday, which is 5 days from now.

The fridge may look good, but it's a hunk of junk. If I could kick it to the curb and buy something more reliable I would. The Jenn-Air brand isn't what it used to be, and the folks at Whirlpool and Maytag should be ashamed to...

The Jenn-Air French Door refrigerator looks great, but poor quality and poor reliability.

Upside: Great looking, perfect cabinet depth.

Down Side:  Expensive, poor quality, I have had repairs made 3 times, relay switches, compressor, plus had to replace the lower drawer unit because the plastic door pin broke off.   Cost of ownership is now over 3000.00.

Love It!!

Sounds like it is hit or miss with this unit. Mine is 6 months old. I guess it could still develop troubles, but so far, I absolutely love it!! Bought it because I bought the matching professional style gas range. It works perfect and I only get compliments on it. Counter depth units have less space, so I have a fridge in my garage.

Awesome Cabinet Depth Frig

I read the other review and had to wonder if the other consumer simply had a defective unit. I am very particular but have found this refrigerator to be the best I have ever owned. Temperature control is perfect between refrigerated and freezer sections, tons of space in both. There is no center dividing wall in the upper refrigeration unit which makes a huge difference. This is far superior to a side by side style that cuts lateral storage space in half. And watch out for other models, some of the freezer at the bottom units also have a dividing wall (unnecessary) in the upper refrigerated... read full review »

poor fridge worse service

noisy, compressor and control board broke after 18months, manufacturer had compressor on back-order for three weeks, service company A and E makes appointments then cancels them at last minute or send technicians who don't fix fridges. now five weeks without fridge, compressor manufacturer sent was defective. sevrice technician is here now.. cannot give me an estimate of when this will be resolved or any guarantee that the technician will show up next time.. atrocious product and service.. would never buy another

Not as advertised

This refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. On and off loud noises (so much for the sound proofing), vibrates, and worst of all after 5 service calls the temperature control still does not work. Stay away from this unit.

Not recommended

I own one of these units and I would not recommend it to anyone. It has been nothing but trouble. I am continually buying replacement parts. You can buy a much better refrigerator for a lot less money. If you do purchase a Jenn Air, the extended warrenty is a must.
