Owned this unit for almost a month until it just stopped heating up the food. Not one ounce of heat was felt on the food. The thing just died on us for no reason. Not like we are heavy duty users, but still, the microwave should have lasted a lot longer. Returned the product and bought another Kenmore, same color and style but with 1100 watts and 1.1 cu ft. So far so good, but it's only been a week.
An amazing price for a great nuker. I bought this back in April at Sears and I just love it. The popcorn button is awesome. You put in your microwave popcorn, hit the button that says popcorn, then hit start. It pops it to perfection! I bought it because I trust the Kenmore name. I have a Kenmore dishwasher that was built back in the 1970s and is only now beginning to lose a little of its original oomph. I know I'm going to have the same kind of quality in this microwave.
Bought this three months ago, now no longer heating at all.
This microwave is LOUD and poorly manufactured. Even the door squeaks when opening. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. Only positive aspect is that is does work.
I purchased my Kenmore microwave 2 years ago and I absolutely love it. It's pretty to look at but more important, it's quite and reliable. My son and I use it at least twice a day and it's still running like new. I've recommended it to family members and would do the same again. Love the quality and durability of the Kenmore brand.
I have had my Sears/Kenmore microwave for over 15 years. It runs as good now as the day we got for a wedding gift. NEVER a problem or needed a part replacement - at all. I haven't even needed to replace the bulb inside!!
The oven has a higher wattage than most so we cook food at less time.
I am so sold on Kenmore products, we bought the dishwasher, oven, and refrigerator. The dryer will be next.
I can't complain about this microwave or agree with some of the other complaints written. Yes, this microwave is small, but the fact that the info for the model tells you it is .7 cubic feet already tells you this is a small microwave. Yes, I have to hold the base of the microwave to open the door - the microwave is very light, so it doesn't grip well on the countertop, but this is not an issue for me. I have cooked quite a bit with it, and it's power rivals the larger over the oven mounted one I own. For the price, it is worth it.
had this a year and now it doesn't heat anymore.
I think I've learned my lesson with kemore,bad side by side,brand new washing machine leaked all over new floor,now this, no more kenmore.
I'm sorry to say this microwave will go back tomorrow after 2 days use. It is very flimsy and you need 2 hands to keep it from sliding all over the countertop. The handle to open the door is horrible--thick and uncomfortable. I have a sore hand already! I do like most Kenmore products though and will look for another model.
This unit is about as poorly made as it gets, I think this is quite possibly the worst microwave I have ever used, when I try to open the door the whole thing wants to come with me and fall on the floor, the door latch system is really loud and the thing is "tiny". Pay a little more and get a better one.
this is a great microwave oven - nice and small also just right for a very small dorm or apartment
