Kenmore 12,000 BTU Multi-Room Air Conditioner —

We just bought this A/c and installed it yeaterday today is 6/6/08 - It is up and running and we are very disturbed by the energy efficient option. The directions say the fan comes on every 3 minutes, Try every 1 minute! It's really annoying. After reading the other reviews no one else brings this up. How can this be energy efficient? I am calling sears today.
