I have purchased this and a similar unit, probably the manufacturer for Kenmore. Both units had the sporadic shut-off problem that has been mentioned by other reviewers. “Don't Buy”

I bought because it appeared to be just what I wanted and it was a Kenmore. I purchased 4/7/07, quit yesterday July 2, 2007. I used it 3 or 4 times a week. I kept the box and receipt, just hope I can get my money back. I am very disappointed in this product.

“Don't Waste Your Money”

This coffee maker is the worst I have ever owned. It shuts off sometimes before the coffee is finished brewing. It also overflows frequently for no apparent reason. I have had this coffee maker for about 6 months and I am replacing it today (after it's latest overflow).

“2 stars”

My carafe broke early on with just regular washing. It's just way too thin. Also it would shut off early sometimes, leaving me with a pot of lukewarm coffee that needed microwaving...yuch! The lid design is poor also as when you try to add water, any condensation on the lid rolls down the lid and down the back of the maker on to the counter. All in all, poorly designed and farily low quality. A coffee maker would seem like a simple enough thing to design, but this one is definitely lacking. Your money would be better spent elsewhere, and it will eventually anyways if you choose this model.

“coffe maker turns off too soon”

that's right not only turns off too soon......it has a sparatic time zone!! sometimes it turns off on tenn minutes or an hour there is not a pattern. it will suprise you. when i went back for my second cup this morning it was already off. i think i'll return it and get my money back. too bad i like the simple design, easy cleaning, and durability.
