My husband really wanted us to buy an upright freezer, but we didn't have luck with the last one (door came open a couple of times and also it quit working after about 5 years) so I wanted a chest freezer. We bought this one based on the reviews so wanted to share my opinion after we got ours home and filled with food. My husband's gripe with chest freezers is that stuff on the bottom gets forgotten and goes to waste. Not with this freezer. I am so glad we bought it. There is a heavy plastic removable grid in the bottom of the freezer that divides it into 6 sections and then you have two baskets on top that slide left to right. In the bottom of ours I used a section for frozen corn, frozen berries in another, freezer jam in one, beef in another, a section for venison, and another for pizza and freezer meals. I used the top baskets to put hamburger and some items used more frequently. Now when I open the freezer I know where everything is and can quickly find it. The size is perfect for our family- it holds a lot! I can't speak for how long it will run since we just got ours but was so impressed with the storage system that comes with it I had to write this review. Thank you to whoever thought of this- it was a genius idea! Highly recommend.
