I had a top of the line Gaggenau dishwasher (now owned by Bosch) that I thought was pretty good, but we had lots and lots of problems with the control panel (integrated buttons that were a little TOO slick and kept sticking) and had the repair man out a lot. The wash quality on this machine deteriorated, and then the panel broke again and I was done. I bought this Kenmore, thinking I had perhaps stepped down a notch or two, but I bought the full Sears repair warranty at the same time and hoped for the best. read full review »love my new Dishwasher. The shelves adjust, and the Zone cleaner really scrubs heavy caked on food. It knows when the dishes are clean and does a very good job.
Kenmore stainless steel built in
we just replaced our 11 year old Kenmore with the stainless steel unit.
It has performed very well-more energy saving,with the stainless steel inside,the water stays hotter longer and helps conserve electricity,and improves the overall process

I bought my Kenmore Elite Dishwasher with TurboZone (model 13863 - stainless steel inside and out, Quietguard Premium) almost 3 year ago and have been fairly pleased with my purchase. I don't think any dishwasher out there is perfect, but this one certainly gives it a run!
One of the features that influenced me was the TurboZone. I didn't want a gizmo or gimmick when it came time to cleaning.
