My old Kenmore chest freezer of 8 years was still working fine and keeping most of the food frozen. The only reason I replaced it was because the lid had rusted completely through and the inside of the lid was one big chunk of ice making it a super heavy lid to open each time. I wish there was a rust proof option we could apply to those freezers that need to be kept outside the house. Or provide replacement lids that don't cost so much. Our tropical weather in Hawaii is very corrosive to appliances. Although I love my new Kenmore freezer, especially the space dividers that make it so much easier...

Having enjoyed our 23 cu.ft. chest freezer while we were raising our family, I was hesitant to down-size when our 36 year old Kenmore died. But, our 14.8 cu.ft. freezer is just the right size for retirees with a small garden.
The adjustable spacers make it easy to organize the storage area and keep items from shifting about.
The only thing I miss is the double tier of wire baskets in our previous model.
Overall good freezer. We had been looking to down size our older freezer (42 years) for something more economical. I am a "consumer goods researcher addict" (sometimes overkill). Miss having metal removable baskets, afraid these plastic ones will break too easily. I am not disappointed in the purchase and would do it again.
My husband and I reviewed the Consumer Guide and we always go back to buying Kenmore, due to the quality,durability and the overall reputation of the products! Plus they are economical, compact, and offer the best feature of all, energy star! Also, we qualified for a free delivery rebate as an added bonus!

I like the bins and dividers. Definitely gotta stack discounts and promos. I got it for less than $340.00. Child lock seems a little cheesy (plastic). Lite inside is a bonus.
We purchased this chest freezer to replace one we had for 25 years. The best feature is the removable baskets and spacers. It's so nice to find just what you're looking for in short notice. It's freezing well, too. We are very pleased with our choice and would recommend it highly.
I did a lot of research before buying this freezer. You get a lot of freezer for your dollar spent. Good size, quite, and does its job.
