Our old refridgerator broke over the holidays. I found this one and could not be more pleased with it. I have plenty of room alleviating the juggling of food when preparing for company.?The food stays an even temperature. It makes my life much simpler. I don't have to think about where something will...

I bought this unit in LATE May 2009.  It has already died... They refuse to fix it or even help in getting it fixed without another few hundred bucks.  Sears used to have customer service and tried to keep your business... NOT any longer...

They lost a life long customer!!!

I had so many people going through my garage to get a drink or a snack from my kitchen refrigerator, that I purchased a refrigerator for my garage!

Sears was the only company who offered me an affordable, dependable refrigerator that was designed to withstand the extreme temperatures experienced in my garage.

I have had this for almost 2 months and I love it more every day! The ease of finding items in this refrigerator are exceptional. It is well-organized. However, I do wish that bottles would not fall out of the door so easily. The 'arms' are so flimsy that they 'bulge'. I am afraid that it...

This unit has a specific application:  it is designed to give max refrigerator only space and performance in a garage environment where ambient temperatures can be below freezing - rated down to -10F.  If you expect this unit to look and sound like a kitchen refrigerator, you are looking at the wrong unit; this unit has a compressor and fan designed for utility.

This unit is manufactured in Minnesota and well suited for Minnesota garages.

Because there is no freezer and no freezer defrost cycle, there are no crisper drawers necessary.

The shelves have minimal adjustments but because there is...

We bought this refrigerator a couple of years ago I think it was 2007 and used it as our primary fridge up until december of 2010. It was a little loud but that wasn't the biggest problem. Our problem with it was the constant flood of water that kept coming out of the bottom of the refrigerator just a few days after we got it. I called service and they sent some one out within a week to check on it and found that the delivery technicians never hooked the drain hose to the auto dryer and it was dumping directly onto my tiled floor. Unfortunately that caused 11 tiles to pop off my floor break...

Good for Garage

The cheap fridge/freezer I had didn't work in the garage so we opted for a chest freezer and a stand alone fridge. This one holds a ton! Easily fit the christmas turkey and all the trimmings (that don't fit in the side by side!). Two complaints: 1 - it is really loud. it's ok for the garage but I would hate to have this noisy beast in the house! 2 - it's not level and the door keeps swinging shut on me - I'm hoping we can remedy this! Haven't looked under it yet!

I got this unit to store some of the fresh fruit we get from our orchard in the fall and it works fine for that.  The wire shelves are not an issue for us.  While it does seem to maintain temperature adequately when fully loaded with apples, peaches and pears, the compressor will cycle far too frequently.  Having a fully loaded refrigerator usually results in less frequent cycling since it takes longer to change the temperature of the large amount of food.  However, the compressor on this unit runs only about 45 to 50 seconds at a time, then shuts down for about 5 minutes.   I am actually...

Exactly what I wanted

Purchased this unit about 3 years ago. I bought a similar unit in 1985, and bought this one when another frig died ( not the 1985 one). Has worked well the entire time. Wire racks a bit clumsy, but we work around that. Keeps a lot of big stuff cold no problem. Bit of problem w bottom seal on door, but still cools well. Am buying another one for my cafe this month.

STINKY

I bought this fridge and loved it at first. The space is great. The wire racking is terrible; bottles fall all over the place. Then there is the odor which keeps coming around. The first time, Sears came out and fixed it. This time I hauled it to the dump. I do not have the time or money to keep fixing an odor problem. It only smells on the inside and not the outside. This is a yearly problem. Nothing I did would completely resolve the odor problem. Everything in plastic bottles had to be thrown away this time. I would not recommend this fridge to anyone; unless they like odors.

Real handy fridge!

I bought this for my wife two years ago. After a few months, it would not get cool enough-45 deg. Sears came out and fixed it, no charge, and it has been working perfectly ever since. WE LOVE IT!!! We do a lot of bulk purchases (Costco), that's where this fridge comes in real handy. It swallows up produce, meats, cheeses, BIG watermelons, you name it with no problem. Great for all those holiday left overs and larger items that would overwhelm our in house fridge. This is in our garage and the cold & heat don't seem to bother it. Holds a constant 38 deg. We would be lost without this unit. I would... read full review »

does not maintain temperature

When we first purchased this fridge in December 2007, we couldn't have been happier with it. Then last winter 08/09, it began to freeze things, didn't matter the setting on the dial. Then come this spring, it isn't keeping things cool, no matter how high the setting on the dial. There aren't any exterior coils or anything to clean, they are all enclosed. The fridge is in the same position that it was placed when it was initially delivered. What goes? We paid $500 for basically one year's worth of service from this fridge! I'm not impressed with Sear's appliances at this point!!!

Love Sears Appliances! The new Freezerless Refrigerator in our garage is so handy especially with our grandkids - extra water - pop - milk - extra vegatables for storage and...

shelves - so so bad

Wish I had read these other notes. I bought this model for drinks, based solely on salesman's recommendations. But as others have noted, bottles fall over. The stupid grid rack has a pitch to it, and is spaced such that bottles fall over. Should have bought a cooler and ice! And they tell you "it is what it is"
