We bought this for my wife's mother who is in a nursing home. It is just the right size and it is priced right. As seems to be the case whenever we buy something from Sears, the packing crate was torn and showed evidence of rough handling. Therefore there was a dent and scrape on the side of the unit and the thermocouple was knocked out of place. I asked for a different unit and of course they told me this was the last one. It took some time to regulate the temperature and the freezer is too small but the refrigerator is adequate for what we paid and for its need. I wish Sears would get it togther in their shipping department.

I bought this fridge about a month ago. I needed a minifridge quick because I was transferring into college; nobody seemed to have the right size fridge and we spent a while looking for one. We settled on this one because it was cheaper than some other models, but for 125 bucks (after tax and stuff) the fridge could be better.

The pros:

* it's big enough for lots of bottled water, juice, soda, etc.

* it does have a freezer that actually freezes things

* it's not very heavy so its easy to nove around

* it cools down fast from first plug-in and doesn't take long to cool down food/drinks

The cons:

* it gets very loud at night sometimes; not loud enough to wake you from sleep, but if you're trying to go to sleep you'll notice it. I feel like it makes almost as much noise as a full size refrigerator, but only for about six minutes at a time

* the freezer section hardly fits a small Ben & Jerry's ice cream in it because of the shape of the freezer; its very tiny, and to make sure things...

This refrigerator replaced my old one from he 70's decade and believe me it's great! A lot less noise, my old unit had a loud 60 cycle hum where's this unit just makes a hissing sound and my old one when reading the freezer compartment area reads about 20 degrees F with an Inferred thermometer where my Kenmore unit reads -6 degrees F and below my thermometer's range.

The door to the freezer came off when the Ice formed and I would get a loud popping sound just after the unit turned off and also had to run the thermostat up higher. The Ice build up also reduced the efficiency of the refrigerator. But just after removing all of the Ice the unit would get cold quickly with the -4 degree temp and as far as replacing the door I left It off with no problem at all for frozen items.

One other note to mention was that the mounting of the thermal couple is mounted with a small plastic piece which snaps onto the freezer plate and came loose, so as to be very careful when allot of Ice forms...

Read reviews for other compact units like this and many people were not happy with how cold the inside temp would get.This unit gets nice and cold, is very quiet and I purchased the 3yr in home warranty for $29.00 WOW what a deal!I use the unit to store cold drinks and snacks in my office at home and am very pleased....

This fridge freezes everything at any setting above about a 3. Even set at a 1 the fridge stays cold but runs more than I think it should. It is not really noisy unless something is loose or prone to rattle then when running it can make more noise. Just noticeable at night in a sleeping environment and given how often it seems to run it makes it more so. No other issues. So this can serve as a full compartment freezer if set to a higher setting. Overall I recommend for the capacity and price....

Our daughter recently gave birth to our 4th grandchild. The baby's room is on 2nd floor so she wanted a small fridge for the baby's items in her room. This unit has fit the bill ! I bought this refrigerator for my husbands Christmas present and he just LOVE it. We keep it in the bed room. He don't have to go down stairs for a nice cold beer. We had to set the thermostat below the normal setting to avoid having frozen drinks and we don't have to use the ice tray that was provided. It's been over a month and he is still thanking me....

I purchased this product for my office. It fits perfectly in the space that I have for it, and it works very well. It is mildly noisy, only to the point that I am aware that it is there, and my laser printer is much louder. Also, I had some problems with the door. The door has ample storage space, but when I put beverages on it, the weight caused the door to fall off when being opened because the fixed top hinge pin slipped out of the hole it was in. I solved this by purchasing a couple of 39 cent nylon washers and putting them on the bottom pivot pin that serves as the lower door hinge, thereby lifting the door up the thickness of the washers so that the door was more firmly held by the top hinge pin. The thickness was enough to keep the door on while swinging but not enough to interfere with the seal alignment. Problem solved. The refrigerator works great now. My only comment other comment was that I picked mine up from Sears and took it to the office. When I uncrated it, I discovered......
