I love this microwave. It is so easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone. I love the size. It was just perfect for my house. I can practically make dinner in it. I use the mircrowave a lot and so this was easy for me to use.
AFTER CONSIDERING ALL CUSTOMER REVIEWS INCLUDING 'CONSUMER REPORTS' ON KENMORE MICROWAVES, I PURCHASED THIS ONE ON SALE. #1- At the END of a cycle, as we are opening the door, the power turns on briefly then shuts off. #2- The unit does not sit level and slides forward while opening the door. It's going back!
We had to return the first microwave and exchange it for a working one. After that, I really did like the way it worked. The defrost worked well and did not leave hot/cooked spots, potato function was great as was popcorn. Also the soften and melt feature for butter worked very well. The reason for the one star is that this microwave stopped working after one year and 2 months (just past the warranty!). This is unacceptable for an appliance. My last GE microwave worked for over 12 years until I replaced it with this. The GE wasn't broken, just changed from over stove mount to countertop. Guess...

I was surprised to see this model had a handle built into the door. You cannot tell from the photo and is not mentioned in the description. Also this microwave is very loud when it runs. I thought it would have been quieter since my last purchase was in early 1990! Guess that is one thing they didn't improve on.
Worked well for 16 months, then died. My last microwave lasted 15 years.
Just purchased this microwave a week ago and am very pleased with it. It heats up real fast, does a great job and I didn't find the noise any more than any other microwave. Bought the rubber feet as another purchaser suggested. The microwave is crisp and neat looking and easy to use. I was hesitant to buy it because of some of the reviews but am glad I decided to buy it. What a deal for the price!
I purchased this microwave back in February. It hasn't given me any problems and the wattage it uses is pretty good. I have always had a good experience with Kenmore for years. One minor problem though, the picture online shows the door handle as more of an exterior part however in reality it is incorporated in the door. Nevertheless, it is a good product.
I was hesitant based on the reviews, but I tried my luck only to get one that was DOA. I returned it the same day and moved on.
Bought this unit on sale and immediately returned it. It was really loud.
I purchased this microwave 3 days ago.
I was heating up veggies and they were not getting warm, but the outside of microwave was burning hot and smelled like something was burning. We are returning this one tomorrow and probably buying another brand.
We have always loved Kenmore products, but this one is a disappointment. Also, it is extremely loud.
This is my 3rd Kenmore Microwave. I swear by Kenmore products, as I have many and they have all lasted many years. My other 2 microwaves are under that catagory. We have had his one about a month. It heats well, I don't find it to be overly noisy, but it does slide around. I was also disappointed that the door does not have the push button opener, but must be pried by hand. Other than that, I am, so far, satisfied.
We bought this and it did not work from day one. It was REALLY loud and did not heat up the food. So we returned it and got a Sharp Carousel instead.
The handle is black and I thought it would be more practical but it actually makes the model look outdated and old.
We received this microwave for a wedding gift. We had our one year anniversary less then a month ago and the microwave quit today!! You would think a Kenmore would last longer then a year. I don't plan to buy another Kenmore microwave. We are not impressed with this product at all.
