I AM
practical, a Kenmore loyalist, budget conscious
Pros

Cons
Parts fall off repeatedly, it don't clean very well, it leaves crud on everything, and its semi-quiet, External finish, Requires rinse aid else does not dry tub

Kenmore 24&#34 Built-In Dishwasher (1374) —

I owned similar 2003 and 2005 Kenmores at my former homes that I LOVED.  When I moved to my new house, I decided to replace the ancient dishwasher with this model.  Like most other reviewers, I bought this dishwasher based on the CR reviews, and have been sorely disappointed.  It cleans no better than the 15-year-old dishwasher it replaced.  I only get a decent cleaning when I use the longest, hottest cycles (turbo jets, power wash, and sani rinse), and then I still have to rewash at least 1/4 of the load again.

The most frustrating part is the clip that holds the bottom back row in place.  It falls off every time I open the dishwasher and causes the back row to collapse.  I gave up on the knife holder the first day for the same reason.  So annoying!  I also agree with previous reviewers that the stemware holders are useless and that the drying cycle is completely ineffective.

The only redeeming qualities of this dishwasher are its looks and the height-adjustable top rack.   Oh, and the fact that the plumber found and fixed a leaking hose during installation that I didn't know about.  Otherwise, I really regret this purchase!

By the way, someone needs to fix the grammar here on the pros and cons.  I am mortified to be checking "it DON'T clean very well".  Sheesh!
