Dishwasher is nice, but I thought that the dishes would be dry when I opened the door.
2 years old, already dead. Has been noisy the entire time. Reading the comments at the Sears Parts Direct website, apparently this model has bad seals which leads to the pump failure. Cost of new pump = 1/3 cost of original unit, add labor and we're $100 away from a new dishwasher. Maybe I'll try Bosch.
Has never cleaned the top rack well. Have had unit for about 2 years. The cleaning ability has degraded so much that I now purchasing a new dishwasher. Have tried different detergents/rinse aids to no avail. Not a mechanical or electrical issue as service technicians have checked it out. On the positive side, unit is very quiet and has lots of nice features. If you don't have a large amount of dishes to wash, then you could use this effectively, if you need a really good cleaning dish washer though, pick a different one.
We bought this dishwasher to replace our 15 year old Kenmore. We looked for a good basic dishwasher without all the frills. This one fit the bill. It washes great and is as quiet as most dishwashers. We have had it since Aug 09 and have not found anything to complain about, very happy with this dishwasher.
Delivery arrived within specified time period. Ensure you pre-purchase power cord and flexible water line connector with compression fitting kit. NOTE: Delivery is not the same as installation, installation occurs later and delivery folks do not install dishwashers. So set up an installation time frame. Self install for step by step is simple and booklet is useful guide. Please do the leak test before you slide into cabinet area to avoid any headaches. read full review »Purchased this dishwaher and after a few days noticed a noise when closing the door - a popping sound. After 2 techs came to look at it, said it was a defect from the factory there was a plastic piece rubbing. Got a replacement, sure enough same problem with the replacement. Ended up upgrading to a different Kenmore model that had a different door configuration, that one seems ok. And I got lost in Sears redtape hell. Took about 10 hrs on the phone to deal with all the customer service to get the paperwork handled. Must be a better way, not a good experience.
Bought this as my second choice from Sears the 1st choice wouldn't work with my cabinets. The dishwasher works flawlessly and was a breeze to install. Very happy with all aspects of the dishwasher. The delivery guys were great as well as the salesman.
