I had a Kenmore canister vacuum for many many years and it worked great right up to the end. In fact, it still works except for a finicky on/off switch. When I decided to get a new one it had to be another Kenmore. This Progressive model is everything I expected with a few added bonuses. Along with being powerful and having great suction, it is lightweight and it seems to move along the carpet by itself without pushing it.
I have had this vacuum for almost a year and still working great. Love that i can quickly change attachments, with no hassle. Very light weight, my children can clean there own rooms with which is aways a plus for a busy mom ! Would highly recommend it !
I switched to this vacuum after owning a Dyson Canister vac. I'm sooo glad I did. This is an excellent vacuum. As of this review (05.23.08) I've owned it for approximately 4 months.
I haven't had any problems whatsoever. The Dyson I had was of course bagless, so going back to a bagged vac concerned me a bit, but suprisingly the bag is very large and I can fill it with about twice as much as what the Dyson would hold. I have 4 dogs, all very large or giant (one is a Great Dane) and a messy parrot. So there is a lot of dog hair and tossed seed that needs to be vacuumed up. The Dyson when using the...
