I love kenmore products and I think they are one of the best in the market but with this one , very dissapointing. I would have rate this as 1 star if I did not like it during its first year in my house. I bought this about 3 years ago, didn't have a complain for my first year coz I really didn't use...

Kenmore 3/4 hp Food Waste Disposer Reviews
My husband and I swapped out this disposer for an old one. We did not have much trouble; just that our plumbing didn't match up with the unit so we had to go get a flexible pipe from the hardware store. It's a little heavier than I expected when holding it to adjust the fittings, but it's a great machine.
It's quiet, nothing leaks, and it wasn't that difficult to do. We did take longer than the girl who said she did it in 20 minutes, but it doesn't matter. We saved a chunk of money doing ourselves.
The machine works like a dream, while the noise is a little bit much at first, our previous machine was a little bit louder. The setup was the real challenge on out end, requiring hours of work which again was mostly due to the different setup the machine we used at our house had. We have no real experience in handling such products so we're not familiar in the way the systems are supposed to be, however the directions made the process as easy as possible and even helped us to take out the previous food processor.

I have been very pleased with my new Kenmore food waste disposer. It is much quieter than my former 1/2 hp unit (not a Kenmore) and so purchasing the more powerful unit was a priority for me. The price was very reasonable, the unit has a great warranty, and it installed easily in about 20 minutes.
This is the third disposer I have purchased for 3 different houses. Great power and cool looks. It is nice to see something that has a long warranty and that the company stands behind. I would recommend this for the ease of installation and the power. If you have less than a 3/4 horse disposer, beef up.
Was replacing unit of same model 7 years old. New unit leaked from bottom when placed into service. No replacement unit was in stock so had to upgrade to a more expensive model. Old unit had operated flawless for 7 years before the motor failed, so I gave it the 3 stars.
I purchased this product two years when my garbage disposal staarted to leak. I took only about two hours to install including an added trip to the store for more hardware. It functions quite well! We make sure to only run cold water when running the disposal. We also make sure to drain hot liquids on the other side (sink). It is quieter and more efficient than any garbage disposal we've owned (five units in twenty one years!) I really don't see a need fro improvement. The Kenmore 3/4 hp disposal does every thing it claims to do and I highly recomend it to anyone!!
I am not the handiest person but installing the unit was straight forward and the instructions were clear. The Kenmore disposer I was replacing was over 23 years old it just started leaking. The pipe outlets were not quite the same as the one I was replacing so I needed to reposition the pipes. Its been in one day without leaking.
Everything is still new so I don't have too much to say. Everything works and the unit is what I expected. It is much better unit than my 20 plus year old emerson that finally died. I am certainly not an expert at installation; however it was easy even for me. I will update this review in a year.
If you need it this unit does not include the discharge tube kit that will cost $20.00+ additional delivered.
