No assembly included with delivery, no cart-away of old grill. Assembly time 3.5 hrs. Most parts fit except those damaged in shipment/delivery. Front panel pushed in (cosmetic not affecting function). Both doors damaged, 1 cosmetic, 1 totally deformed. Called service for replacement doors, who wanted to ship entire new grill because damage was from shipping. Eventually argued them into shipping only new doors, which arrived 2 weeks later, both damaged, 1 cosmetic, 1 totally deformed Fortunately, cosmetically damaged doors were left and right, so I made do. Grilling quality not any better...
read full review »I recently went to Sears to purchase a natural gas powered grill. I chose Sears because I trusted them to help me find exactly what I needed. The associate got his supervisor to help narrow down the choices. We brought it home only to find we were not able to use it. We also needed a special order conversion kit to make it work for natural gas. This is not in store stock and costs an additional $45.
We went to ****** to look for a conversion kit. They have it in stock and have natural gas convertible grills that cost a lot less. The Sears manager should have mentioned the need...
read full review »This is a great grill. I've had it for about a month now and used it for a variety of grilling. I purchased it from the store, had them assemble (for free) and I picked it up 2 days later and brought it home. It heats quickly, cooks evenly and cleans up as well as any other grill I've had.
I read some of the other reveiws and was concerned about keeping it clean, but I took the suggestion of another reviewer and purchased a wire painters brush with about 1" wires (the kind you use for scraping paint off a house). The longer wires get down in the grooves nicely and after a good burn off...
read full review »I bought this grill about a month or so ago. Have found it to be a great grill at cooking steak, chicken, or pork chops. Unless Really overcooked food is very juicy and tasty. What I am really writing about though is in response to the cleaning complaints. Yes this grill is a little harder to clean. This problem is mostly due to the depth or height of the grilling surface to the hot surface underneath. The underneath part is where there are small holes that get clogged with the grease etc.. Even if you follow directions and turn the heat up and let it burn off the grease, some of those holes...
read full review »I bought this grill on the Day After Thanksgiving. I have been using it ever since and think it is the best grill I have ever used. Super easy clean-up as others have said, I'm sure those who didn't think to turn it up, let it cool and just shake out the grates are not feeling at their smartest. It is a gorgeous looking machine too, I like that the doors and behind the controls are NOT the stainless, it is much easier to clean this way! Does a wonderful job of cooking and we do grill a fair amount (like at least once if not two or more times a week). Always has left our food very juicy and without...
read full review »This grill looked very attractive in the store and I liked the idea of infrared cooking and the closed grilling surface. But once we used it we found out that cleanup is almost impossible. We had to remove the grates and wash them in the kitchen whereas with an open bar grill you can burn off the residue and it falls thru when brushed. After 1 week the cooking surface and interior rusted. Sears did honor the 90 day exchange and we are returning it for a grill with stainless steel grates.
The grill was reasonably easy to assemble - instructions were surprisingly clear and I had no parts leftover (always a good feeling). It's a nice looking grill and has decent features for the money, in particular I like the stainless infrared grates which I'm hoping last longer than typical porcelin coated steel. My first grilling attempt was highly successful - burgers and some grilled peppers - which both turned out fantastic. Even my 7 yr old commented on how juicy the burgers were, and they really did shrink less than on my old grill...plus not one flare-up. Heat seems much better...
read full review »We purchased this grill about a month ago after looking at numerous other brands, and for the price, quality and features, this is a great grill. Cooked up some of the most juicy steaks and chicken that we've ever had. We even grilled a tri tip using the opposite burner, and that too was juicy and delicious. Adding the wood chips into the grate also worked well, but you have to put them on early for the full smoked flavor. Vegetables cooked nicely without having the smoke taste of the coals, especially nice if your wife doesn't care for that flavor.
The cons I read about were about...
read full review »After doing my standard Internet deal research, I selected this grill because it seemed to offer a lot for its price. For me, it was the size of the unit, side burner and stainless steel. While I read the write up about Infrared cooking and some patented grill surface, I honestly figured it was a marketing gimmick that I would not even notice. Had no impact to my decision. After using it a few times I can now say that this grill cooks exceptionally well. The infrared cooking creates a very even head across the entire grill, no hot spots you have to keep rotating food items on and off it. ...
read full review »I bought this grill a couple of months ago and love it. The Sears staff said all their grills were made by Weber (not true) this one is made by Char-Broil. Which I would not have bought, however it works great. Assembly was pretty easy, took about 3 hours by myself. my only dissapointment with the grill is that there are no hooks or drawers for the tongs, spatula or brush a feature easily overlooked but would still be nice to have.
The grill heats evenly and cooks the food very quickly. I've cooked burgers (beef, turkey, salmon and veggie), dogs, steaks, ribs, chicken, turkey and even seafood...

The grill racks have to be removed to clean! And it has to be done after every use. It is also impossible to get the heat under 500 degrees. I will be buying a new BBQ.
Got this grill a few months ago. My wife and i looked around and saw this one. We wanted a nice grill but that would be in our budget. Saw this one and what really sold me was the infra-red grate. Love hearing that sound when you throw your food on the grill. That searing sound. You know now all that flavor is locked in. I see that some dont like the clean up. I dont have that problem. SOme tips that i read from the book that cam with. Always use a spatular not a fork. FOrk will pierce through and let out juices that will fall on grate. Never pour left over marination on foods. Just makes...
