It has been a year since we purchased this grill and this is my first review of it. The removeable grate system is intriguing, but not really all that practical. We haven't once used it as it was intended - the system is divided into three panels and we typically always cook on more than three panels. In the past year, each of the three panels have bowed downward likely under the heat.

We purchased the grill in early May 2009 and after the first weekend, the wind caught the Kenmore grill cover we also purchased and blew the entire grill, cover, propane tank, and accessories off the patio and promptly gave the beautiful stainless steel lid its first dent. The dent couldn't be knocked out because the lid is comprised of at least two layers, and outer layer and an inner layer. This year, in a new location and off the patio for safekeeping, the wind again caught the grill cover and blew the entire assembly forward onto the ground in front of the grill and promptly gave the grill lid its...

This grill has greatly exceeded our expectations. It heats up nicely and cooks evenly and thoroughly without burning or charring. The quality of this grill is higher than any other grill we've ever owned, especially in this price range. We are extremely happy with our purchase and highly recommend it.

Very disappointed. This grill looked like a great value but with only 30,000 BTUs, we have been left waiting for dinner on many an occasion since it cooks SO slowly. We will be getting another barbeque soon to replace this one after only 9 months.

I have waited over a year to write this review. This grill is fantastic. The best thing about it is that I purchased a 2 year warranty with the grill and I have only had to replace the grills once since I have had it. The replacement service was very quick. The grill burns between 600 and 700 degrees when turned on high. This make for cooking filets on the warmer fantastic. I have had no problems with any of the parts on the grill. Quick tip: I have found if you do not cover the grill and it gets wet the ignition lighter will not work. My last grill come from ***** and did not last a year. I totally recommend any grills from Sears. Their service has been above and beyond.

This is a great grill. I put it together in just 3 hours, all the parts were there. lots of illustrations to put it together. I grilled some shrimp and pineapple it grilled nice. Be sure and spray the grill with lots of grill spray or you will have a cleanup job cleaning the grill. Other than that I liked this grill.

The cover fits nicely around it. I'd recommend this grill.

I bought this grill in the Fall of 09'. I used it as much as I could before it got cold out. Left it outside all winter with a cover on it and broke it out again a week ago. It looks brand new and still cooks like a champ! Love the grate system. It is nice to be able to just lift the grates out with the food on them and take it directly to the table. If you take a little time and put it together correctly you wont be disappointed with this grill.

We got this grill for on sale and have used it for a whole summer. It's packed away now, I just wish it stayed warmer here so I could use it all year. It seems to cook evenly and I have loved everything about it...except the grates. They won't take a wire brush, it'll take off the weird enamal finish on them, so I have to wash them in the sink. I can put them in the dishwasher, and have, but it they got cleaner when I used a little elbow grease. The grates are nice in the fact that there are not wide spaces between them, so less-cohesive foods like hamburgers stay together a lot better. I just wish they were made of plain old metal so we could scrub them down with a metal brush. The grill was used nearly every day for 3-4 months with never a problem starting or staying lit. We get some wind, too, and it has never blown out. Our food cooks fairly quickly and evenly, so If I could it would get 4 1/2 stars.

I bought this grill the day after Black Friday for a great price. i didn't read the reviews before i bought it but I'm glad i didnt because there seems to be an issue with the grates which I have not experienced my self. The grates are just new and i spray a non stick cooking spray on them before cooking and always clean them after Im done. One review mentioned problem's with constant burning of food, which sounds like an operator error to me. I was between this one and another one at ***** and choose the Sears model because it looks like a better quality grill. On weekends i cook 2 meals a day on the grill and during the week i use it every night. I really enjoy the front drawer that opens for storage of utensils/tools. Not real sure what to think about the removable grate with the storage because i havent used it. Its a nice feature if somebody were to use it but not really my thing.

The three burner grill with the side burner was a huge step up for my family from the basic Kenmore we used to have.

We really liked the burners and the BTU is much better on this when compared to a two burner. Of course it is no Weber, but it does not cost as much either. So overall we are satisfied with the grill. The looks of course .. it looks clean and the lines are smooth. The stainless steel finish fits into any deck rather easily.

Now for the mud slinging - the grates are bad. It pretty much is useless. Almost any type of food you put on it - STICKS. It is a mess to cook and clean. While the removable system is a novel concept, in reality it is too much of a hassle. Especially when simple foods like chicken and sausage get stuck on it. I think if Sears improves the grill grate, this will be a good grill for the price.

Dont let good looks and a good price fool you.i reget this purchase after only using it 3 times .I'm ready to give it away.The cooking grates are to thin and underrated for the heat it puts out,not to mention how hard the grates are to clean.I definately would like to know what the other people are using to clean it without scraping or damaging it.I guess it would be a decent pit if you use it like a crockpot only to slow cook things in a pan or on the top grill.My first gas grill was a Kenmore,it lasted 9yrs.Every 3yrs i would have to replace the bottom grate, for the amount of food,heat, times of usage and how easy it was to clean i sure miss it!

This is our first gas grill and it proves to be more than we needed. It performs very well, gets hot real quick and was realatively easy to put together. The only thing I don't like about this grill and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the grates on it. It's awesome that they can come out and what not, makes for easy cleaning, but the ceramic grates kind of suck. You don't get those nice grill markers like you would with a regular grate. That's the only down fall. All in all its a great grill for the price. I think it'll last us a long time.

Wow. I read all the reviews and I must be doing something wrong. After two uses, 2 of the removable grates caved in. I would never try a steak on this grill because I haven't been able to cook hamburgers without burning them. The grease from the hamburger drains onto the heat deflectors and then catches on fire. It literally looks like a bon fire in the grill. It scares my wife to death when she sees the flames. The heat deflectors are just too narrow. I have to stand over the grill and constantly flip the burgers while trying not to catch my hair on fire. And you can't say it's because I don't maintain it properly because it did it the first time I used the grill... I'm not kidding folks... 2' flames. I've used it a total of 4 times and rust is already developing on the grates and the heat deflectors. Maybe I got a lemon, but I suspect it's just poor design and poor materials. This is a poor quality grill at any price. I really can't believe the positive reviews. ...

Purchased as a gift for my husband. He grills 2-3 times per week, year-round. This is a very nice grill for the price. Really like the grate-system. Seems to maintain even cooking, no trouble with cold-spots. Side-burner works great. Tool bin is a nice addition. Assembly was easy. No complaints here as I don't have to cook 2-3 times per week. My husband thanks me for the "grate" gift everytime he fires it up!

I have used this grill for about a month now and am very pleased with it's performance. It heats up fairly quick with the 3 burners, but I have yet to use all 3 while cooking. Once you use it a couple of times you will know the perfect temps and number of burners to cook with. I plan to try cooking on the center grate with only the 2 side burners going, sort of an indirect heat type of cooking. So far the salmon filets, pork chops, and chicken legs have turned out perfect. The removable grate system is nice because I can clean them in the sink rather than outside with the water hose and an SOS pad. I do find the pull out storage useless, but maybe I will find a need for it in the future. I store my grill in my garage and wheel it out when I need it and have found the side tray that I lift to move it to be a bit flimsy. It's an easy DIY fix to strenthen it with either an extra nut and bolt or a home-made brace, which I plan to do in the very near future. I wouldn't let...

Installation ourselves took over 4 hours and my husband is good with tools. Ignitor switch was broken in the box. Had to call and they sent us a new one. Have been using the grill for about one month and the middle grate is already bent and caving in from the heat for some reason. All the porcelain is worn off after one month.

This is basically a down to earth grill with a simple, ingenious system that will save you time and hassle.

Basically, instead of having separate dishes to marinate and serve your meat, you use the removeable grate of the grill!

There is a dish pan and cover that the grate fits right into. You put your fixings on there and marinate for however long you want to. Go heat up your grill, and voila! Use the special tool to place the grate with the marinated food right onto the grill for grilling!

Guess what! Once the cooking's done, remove the grate and place it on the special tray and you have your serving platter!

That whole process, and no dishes soiled ... does life get better?

Just bought this grill for 208.99 at my local sears store. I love the electronic ignition start. Storage door is awsome.Love the removable grate system and the pan you can keep in the fridge or Marinate steaks . You dont have to have a extra bowl to do that.
